patchouli can make you a bit of a pariah, seeing as how a significant fraction of the population can't stand it. I personally love it but I smell of BO and cigars anyway.
good! I love Patchouli oil, I used some the other day but accidently got some in my mouth in the shower and FRIK it doesn't taste good
I used to use this patchouli oil on my skin and sometimes on my dreads, mm I loved it, then one day the bottle spilled in my bag and for MONTHS people came up to me and said things like wow you smell like patchouli or ohh can I have some patchouli (not kidding) even when I stopped using it and carrying the bag!! I think I permanently reek of it
strange semi related story about a patchouli bag. I was digging through the loft a couple of years ago, putting a floor down in there and I found a suede bag that stank of the stuff, and I told me mam and she said it was her bag from like 20 years ago, and she's been looking for it for ages. So i went to fetch it down knowing where it was to within about a foot, and couldn't for the life of me find it, and have never seen it since. So you could assume we are haunted by some metaphore of my mothers youth.
I've always found patchouli to be such a peaceful, but inspiring scent. Too bad it acquired such a "stigma" during the 60's...you know, the old "you smell like a hippie" BS.
patchouli and leather are a good combo, dont know why, but it keeps the road stank off me on looong haul.
