trying salvia for the first time

so im trying salvia for the first time tomorow night. I was looking online and theres like a bunch of different kinds and im not sure which kind we should do... and do you just smoke it out of a bowl?

 

Get the extract. Doses depend on the extract itself. Obviously you're going to use less 10x than 6x, less 20x then 10x etc, until you get experienced with the herb itself. For a first timer, I would personal recommend a small dose of 10x. Most people will disagree, but if not misused or overdone your first couple trips, you'll be fine.

As for consuming sally, a bong or bubbler with a torch lighter is your best bet. I say this because you want the lighter to stay on the bowl the entire time and the smoke does get hot(just tried a vaporizer today and the experience wasn't too pleasant trying to hold in very hot smoke). You want the herb to get as hot as possible to release as much of the salvia-a compound as possible. Make sure to hold the smoke in for 20 seconds after inhaling for maximum effects.

Make sure you buy from a honorable vendor, there are a lot of sites that sell fake salvia products. There are lots of sites listed here, but if you want to know one right this second, the first one that comes to mind is www.iamshaman.com . That's where I have been ordering from for awhile now. well they sell it at the garden centers around here, and at head shops. do you think i should just go with ordering it online? and could it work with a hookah? Also, is this something I could do, and go home to my parents who er- dont approve an hour later?

 

so i read a thing on using salvia and it says sometimes you wont feel it unless you use a torch lighter. is this true? it also says stay still and quiet the whole time?

 

I smoke it with a cheap pipe and a bic lighter and get all fawked up.
As far as going home to the parents afterward, yeah since total effects last about 30 minutes or less (actual trip about 10 minutes). Other then that you may feel a little euphoric for a while.

The biggest problem with headshops is that they generally(not always though) buy the cheaper quality herb and then sell it for outrageous prices. As I said though, this isn't always the case, but you will generally pay more for it at a headshop regardless of quality or quanitity.

As for a garden centers, I'm not sure sure if it is cultivated properly or if they just grow it for a house plant. Lots of times, people grow it in bad environements and allows for lowsy growth trends.

The choice is yours though. There is a ton of information on this forum though. From my past experiences, most of the dedicated salvia distrubuters usually take 3-4 days to ship to your door.

Not true, but torch lighters do help the herb release more Salvinorin-A than normal lighters. Salvia has a higher peak heating point than that of an herb such as marijuana. This is why bongs and bubblers are usually suggested as the consuming device best used because the smoke will not be as hot as a normal pipe. If you don't have either don't stress, it's not THAT bad, but more of an issue of comfort for the user.

The best salvia comes from headshops.

Its pre made at a manufacturing facility. At least buy that kind.

 

Not always true. A lot of times they're selling bunk salvia just to turn a quick buck.

Commercialized growing and processing doesn't always mean quality.

 

Be careful, and if it isn't what you expect don't freak. It is some intense stuff. I did it only twice, and am scared to do it a little. It can make you forget where you are, who you are, may make you burn up and poor sweat, it's just wierd. Good luck, low dose first time, low dose. Don't be overconfident, it will chew you up, spit you out, and then it'll dis yo momma and you'll be like "hay bitch, shut up!" and it will shoot you. Well, made that last part up, but you get the picture. If you have a sitter, for gfod sake tell them not to ask what it feels like. I'm no expert, that's just my thoughts, hope it likes you more then it did me^^

 

My head shop sell purple sticky which is realy good.
Purple sticky is a little pricey, but good.
However, I noticed they added a lot too their website recently and went down on price.
