lol Seems to rear its ugly head more than I'd like. Oh well, I just hope we can all come together for a better America.
It really does rear its ugly head every time. They even found a way to attribute racism to climate change. I wish I was making that up. Boring us to death with racist witch hunts, is what I personally believe fueled Trump's victory.
Every! I find it sad you put it that way. I'm sure you see it happening more than me but that doesn't make this assertion true of course.
You are doing the same thing you claim to find so bad of the annoying stereotyping lefties Certain people do it, you notice it and franticly proclaim 'they' (the entire left or at least the far majority) do it. I say franticly because you do this very often. I also think the deplorable ones conveniently used such things as an excuse to vote for a moron and demonize the entire left. While in fact it seems like a minority to me, maybe overly presented in the media because sensationalism attracts more viewers/readers.
If they can link a non racial issue like global warming to racism and race relations, then they will try to link race to just about everything. Then prove me wrong and break the negative stereotype then
I Don't Want To Be A "Pain In The Ass"......But Who Are "They" Who Made This Absurd Link To Global Warming...???... Cheers Glen.
You're not a pain in the ass They are the Chairwoman of the EPA for one. http://beforeitsnews.com/opinion-conservative/2014/05/epa-chief-global-warming-is-racist-2844916.html Also the writers at EverydayFeminism and Guardian seem to think so http://everydayfeminism.com/2016/11/how-climate-change-is-racist/ http://climatechangedispatch.com/guardian-global-warming-is-racist/ http://beforeitsnews.com/opinion-conservative/2014/05/epa-chief-global-warming-is-racist-2844916.html
that sounds about the same as here ....except we have an ambulance user fee ..i think it was $50 which isnt bad...my last trip would have probably cost an american close to 20 grand for the trip and fancy tests ..and my out of pocket for the whole ordeal was just $50 for the ambulance (that i didnt even want but others insisted)
That's a rather simple interpretation of what I said. If all you see if me trying to make it about race I am sorry.
In your first link Gina McCarthy points out that global warming affects the poor, many who are not white, to a greater degree than it does whites, who do not fill the ranks of the poor to as large a degree. Good for her. The second link shows how it affect indigenous people, blacks, the poor, women, and how it is displacing populations. Cheers for that article. The third made no sense. ...and the fourth was the same link as the first.
Race issues are the crux of all left arguments. Thanks for proving my point. The Guardian seemed to have pulled the article referenced by the 3rd source. The 4th source was a duplicate and an error on my part.
I watched the video too, love her accent. Get in my cah. And yeah, I'm with Meagain. Kind of seems like an attempt on your part to sensationalize something that isnt particularly sensational. Well not really your part, the article you linked sensationalizes it and I guess you're just running with it She didn't once say global warming is racist, which is what you claimed. She did say blacks suffer from asthma at a higher rate than whites and will experience the effects of smog, etc more because of it And she pointed out that poor and vulnerable minorites will be more likely to suffer from the effects of global warming Sorry but that's the reality of it. What's sensational about that exactly? You don't really have to look further than what happened during Hurricane Katrina to see who will be most impacted as sea levels rise. If someone in a position of power shows caring and compassion towards the more vulnerable populations in the country and uses statistically proven information to back up their point of view, why exactly is this race baiting? Are you suggesting she should ignore the reality of the situation instead?
Also I wouldnt say race issues are the crux of all left leaning arguments, but the left is of course concerned with equality which naturally includes those populations most suffering from a high rate of inequality. Should we not talk about it just to suit you?
Again you talk in generalities. The term "left" in politics covers a wide range of movements and ideas including the right of the people to rule themselves (as in a republic), communism, anarchy, socialism, environmentalism, civil rights, pacifism, separation of church and state, hippies, sexual freedom, women's' rights, and science; to name some. To which do you refer when you claim that race forms the crux. One of the above, two, or all?
I'm finding it harder and harder to take you seriously. Do you ever research this shit beyond the few websites you always quote?
Thing is though that climate change is probably going to affect places like Africa as well as America. It's a global issue. Here in the UK I just can't see that race is the main thing fuelling the left, although it is an issue - the right actually seem far more obsessed with it. And not even race, more to do with nationality. So for instance there's a lot of talk about what happens to health care rights for EU immigrants here post Brexit, as well as Brits who've settled in Europe. Race has little to do with it. To me it seems to be mainly about money.
He is actually the primary example for some time now when I think of victims of manipulated mainstream (western) media. Which is kind of ironic since he is also one of the people on here who presses this issue (mainstream media misleading people to the point that their news can be called fake) the most. A good example that being aware of something doesn't exclude one from being manipulated by the distortions.
I'm one of those climate change skeptics, or a "denier" if you insist. So you'll have a hard time getting me worried about global warming related theories and hypotheses. So it's just another way to paint the opponents of the narrative as racists for not buying into the belief. However, that doesn't mean there aren't environmental problems that are of grave concern for all of us. Pollution affects us all. If you wanna talk about the problems of inner city blacks. Fine lets go. I do think that black people deserve reparations from the rule of past racism, and horrid democratic policies that keep their communities poor with high crime and violence. Along with the growing increase of fatherless homes in the black community ever since the drug war. The reparation money should be spent on building them quality schools as a start.
I would like to see more nuanced thought like this from you in the future, sir! But also, the fact is you voted for a president who appointed a certain Mrs. Devos to defund public school and pour money into private and charter schools. Inner city schools will of course be most affected by this policy. Personally speaking I like the magnet school model my city has embraced, where specific programs are implemented in inner city schools to draw students from wealthier sections of town. The kids living within the school zone in poorer neighborhoods are assigned automatically and everyone else either applies or is chosen by a lottery, depending on the school My city boasts the very first Engineering school for elementary school kids in the nation and I am entering my son in the lottery when he starts first grade since he has shown to be very mechanically and mathematically inclined. Kids living in the very poor neighborhood within a two mile radius of the school will automatically be assigned and will benefit greatly from the program instead of going to a subpar inner city school This is of course a public school and hopefully will not suffer from changes implemented by Betsy Devos who certainly wants to funnel public school funds into religious private and charter schools
