I doubt that. So far Trump has not played many of the old political games we have grown so accustomed to. Probably because he hasn't had enough time with Washington cronies who know how to work the system.

That is kind of weird. Passenger jets have transponders that cannot be confused for military aircraft or aircraft that are not equipped with transponders (rare).

My guess is that the identifying information was not available to the missile battery and they made a field decision to fire. Why would they have assumed commercial flights would be happening during missile launches? That's pretty ludicrous.

But somebody did drop the ball. Badly.

 

In some ways yes but we only have 2 parties so there are issues which end up bigger. You don't have to support all they do but you kind of do. In my opinion if you don't call Trump out you are part of the problem. There is no time to think you are above a 2 party system since we are about to have one party only.

I'm not a registered Democrat although I support many of their views on social services and accepting different people. I also support the idea of the government leaving me alone which the right loves. You seem positive I am so perhaps we all pigeon hole.

Once again Trump has called for dismissal of the impeachment charges and Senate Republicans have rejected any call for dismissal. The trial could begin as early as tomorrow and there's still the possibility of allowing witnesses.

 

Sounds like Trump is in a lot of strife. Even his own party don't believe him

I believe it's more like if they dismiss the charges it would look too partisan, raise suspicions even higher and create a lot of backlash toward the GOP. They lost control of The House in 2018 and risk losing control of The Senate in 2020. They have to walk a fine line in order to keep their seats.

 

It's official, the articles of impeachment will be submitted to the Senate. The final tally was 232 for the resolution and 196 against. 230 Democrats and 2 Independents voted for it, 194 Republicans and 2 Democrats voted against it. Just a little partisan.

yes they are picking managers now, for the shampeachment trial. Pelosi is so giddy handing out special pens that look like bullets, she's about to pee her pants. but now lets see if there is a case. we must have the Bidens, Pelosi , Schiff , Nadler , and anyone else that might be a material witness. and don't forget the whistle blower, whomever that might be. as it looks, Pelosi took the bait , get ready for a republican takeover of the house.
