Well if someone has to confirm the rumour how is it legit? If the senate doesn't confirm, this threads going to look stupid.

 

I think the average democrat voter is going to be very confused after finding out the impeachment vote doesn’t end up with Trump immediately being handcuffed and thrown in an orange suit

I've been following this on social media all day long.
There's live footage of him being impeached.
It took two articles that the democrats had to come up with to be approved.
Plus a vote.

 

I just want the new president to come in already so I can read everyone moan about him.

That's my feeling. He has misused his power and obstructed Congress though. That's enough of that.

But the republicans seem to want to act like nothing's happened and now it's business as usual. I'll be glad when it's over. It's really challenging for me to listen to them boldly say how they believe in Trump's innocence in the face of sooo much controversy.

 

So I'm just going to take it that an impeachment actually means nothing then. He still the president and now some other party is going to really see about things.

Now it goes to the senate where it will very probably get thrown out, but if he does beat the rap we still need to keep the pressure on him and the Repubs. Gonna be a lot of Democrats elected in 2020!

 

Impeachment is like an indictment and then the trial is conducted in the Senate.
So if this was a common criminal trial, this would be like Trump being arrested and formerly charged with beastiality (this is my metaphor and I can make it whatever crime I want, damnit!) then going to trial for it
