I'm currently reading this wonderful book by Terrance McKenna. I just finished reading the chapter about Dennis McKenna and his 'shamanistic' trip experience from the mushrooms that grew natural down there and am quite interested in some of the strange unexplainable events that occured....was wondering if anybody had thoughts on that

been a while since I read this one... reading Archaic Revival now,
which events are you asking about?

"I didn't just get this flaky. I had to work hard at it."

"But I don't want to be a giant insect!!" My favorite part in that book, I have the audio version and have listened to it a few times. Are you talking about the three consecutive humming sounds Dennis makes?

Oh come on seriously? Psychedelics had nothing to do with his brain tumor. His doctors said so and there has never been any link in anyone ever that we have observed between psychedelics and cancer, much less brain tumors! :p

If you are all interested in the McKenna's i highly highly suggest reading this book left in the dark by Tony Wright and Graham Gynn. Dennis McKenna wrote the forward and it seems in many ways to be a continuation of sorts of they're work and its utterly mind blowing and extremely important

heres a free online version from the authors site: http://leftinthedark.org.uk/sites/default/files/Left in the Dark free edition.pdf

If you listen carefully to Terence, he puts 3-4 scenarios on the date, from a catastrophe to a change in thinking.. It's not set in stone.
I put it down to the Arab summer, rise of isis and collapse of governments.. We don't know yet but this could trigger bigger things and leave the terence doubters with a gob full of hat.
