Tripping alone

So if I were to get some shrooms or acid would it be a completely dumb shit idea to have my first trip alone?

I would do it with friends, however most of my close friends steer clear of anything other than weed and wouldn't know how to handle a situation. And the friends that would be cool with tripping with me are kind of shady and I don't think I would feel really comfortable with them.

I'm really not an anxious or depressed person, I'm generally very happy and don't have any "inner demons". And almost all of my initial drug experimentation has just taken place in my basement and I feel really safe there.

so basically should I just trip in my safe comfy basement where I get high every day alone. Or just wait till I find cool friends comfortable with psychadelics?

 

I tripped alone my first time on acid, just be in a relaxing place.

 

I'm in the same situation...waiting for shrooms and it's going to be my first time. My friends aren't OK with stuff like that either so I'm probably going to be doing it alone and wasn't sure if it was a good idea. From what I've read online the most important thing is a safe and relaxing place. Sounds like you'll be fine man. Good luck, post how it goes if you go through with it.

 

ive ate shroom at home all by my slelf and was fine with it. I did shroom many times befor this that could be why, but it sure was fun trip. It was awsome to just let lose in the house and fuck it was just to good lol

Just make sure your in a relaxing place, and some creative things to do.
Have some music that you think you might like and maybe so paper and pencils to draw.

 

yeah man, you should try that if you're comfortable with it. i've done shrooms alot back in the day, an di've had my occaisional solitary trip. something about it really refreshes you.
so much shroom talk lately. i've got such a craving now.

 

why dont u take it when friends are around to make u comfortable? they dont have to take any shrooms or lsd they could just sit around or smoke weed

I just did shrooms for the first time yesterday... i recomend being with people who are also tripping, it makes the whole experience better imho. But definatly somewhere safe and relaxing, like not the mall or skatepark (oh man that was fun but scary)

 

i wouldnt suggest tripping by yourself your first time. i would say eat some shrooms with some good friends a few times than after a couple times do acid on ur own.

 

Every psychedelic I've tried (acid, shrooms, mescaline, salvia) I did alone first, and never had any problems. IMHO you gain a better appreciation for the drug. Just have a place and time where you are absolutely secure and safe.

PS) I always hate being around sober people when I trip. You either feel like you're being weird, or feel sorry for them because they think you're acting weird.

 

agreed.. one of two things will come of this... A.) your friends will fuck with you all night and it'll suck... or B.) you'll talk to them to try and relate.. and they wont know what the fuck you are talkin about and you'll start thinkin shit..

if you are to trip alone.. make sure you are positive no one is comin around.. area is calm and relaxed.. phones unplugged or shut off is always a plus..

 

Exactly. The first time I was on shrooms I couldn't be around people. And they were tripping too. It was just making me trip too hard. I had to find a safe place and that was my room....after I got there I was fine.

 

i have always heard that you need a sitter, no matter what, for your first time. at least until you are comfortable with it.

Dude. The first psychedelic I did(shrooms) was alone... and I wouldn't have it any other way. I only had about 1.5 grams... then like in hour three I ate about a gram more... which was stupid, because it probably didn't do much.
But I didn't have a scale and didn't want to go overboard. But It was a fairly medium trip with few visuals... but an awesome high and perception of reality and there's this certain word, that I still, to this day, can't find to explain the enormous feeling of "being" that I had. It's incredible, and I wish my firends were spiritual enough to try shrooms to see this meaning, and not just to get fucked up.
Music is PHENOMONAL! I swear. ESPECIALLY, Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles... That song, is outrageous while tripping, and I have the strongest desire to trip again just to hear that songs again, and to listen to a few new ones that I think will be cool.


Oh... but definitely be sure you untangle your earphone wires BEFORE you start tripping. It took me like literally twenty minutes to untangle those damn things... its like an impossibility to comprehend how to do it, so I besically just pulled and pulled on random spots until FINALLY they came loose. I was so proud though

 

i think trips are more relaxing whenever you're alone, although it can get boring as fuck.
but i had this conversation with my boyfriend not that long ago. i think i'm more comfortable tripping by myself, than with other people.

i probably would have a friend there with you for your first time though..
they don't even have to be trippin, just someone there for support since you're not sure how the drug is gonna affect you, ya know?

 

it makes the experience better? how the hell would you know? You've had one trip, you can't compare it to experiences you have no idea what they are like. Without a solo trip, you can't have a valid opinion.

I should have specified, i did acid before i did shrooms. And therefore after experienceing a trip on shrooms, *which is related to the topic*, with friends, and experiencing trips on acid with and without friends, i recomend doing it with friends, because IT MAKES THE EXPERIENCE BETTER...
and like i said before... its just my humble opinion,
