transition towns is your town ready for low energy future

    we are at or near world peak oil production some people believe that we reached it in 2005 , lots of towns around the world are getting ready for this future by turning themselves into transition towns .

    So they would look to the local production of food and basic items , use more public transport and less cars ,produce renewable energy locally , cut back on the use of energy by city planning and conservation

    anyway what is the state of things in your area have you seen films like the end of suburbia, or crude awakening .

    I think the best way to deal with less oil is in collective effort, not just getting a load of guns and knives and sacks of food and waiting to shoot all the starving people
