For those of you that had your tragus pierced.....how long untill I can expect the soreness to go away?
this depends....do you have a ring or a post and what gauge is it?..if they pierced with a larger gauge(14 or 12) ring then i recomend you go back and have them put in a smaller post because it will irratate the back of the ear where the tragus jewelry sits....if you do have a smaller gauge post then probably about 2 to 3 weeks depending on your body, if your sensitive to any kinds of metals it will be probably about 5 to 6 weeks
The Tragus is the little triangular flap inside your ear... It really does depend... One of mine got badly irritated which truned into an infection.. I think that one took about 6 months before it stopped being sore.. My other one healled up pretty fast.. so it really depends...
i got mine done six days ago and i can't even feel it anymore. it stopped hurting a couple of hours after and took a few days before it stopped hurting when i moved it. it's only sore now when i knock it or something. it didn't go red at all. i tried to put a picture in this thread but couldn't work out how, there's a picture on my gallery though that was taken four days after it was done.
its an 18 gauge ring..... it's been a week and it feels worse than it did a few days ago, but its not red and doesnt look infected..... I guess ill just have to be patient with this one. thanks everyone
are you sleeping one it... Or do you hold the phone to that ear.. Try not to touch it and see if that helps ease the pain
actually i make sure never to hold the phone to that ear and I try not to sleep on it either. ive got the sea salt spray and it seems to be ok, it just hurts like crazy sometimes and other times feels fine unless i touch it......perhaps its just part of the healing process as cartalidge doesnt heal as fast as other parts of the body...although my nose healed very fast and thats cartalidge too~
the tragus is suppose to be pierced at a 20 because any bigger sized jewelry will make it very irratated...im not surprised its annoying you...ask your piercer if he/she can put in a size 20 ring for you...you would benifit better from it
Mine stopped being sore a day after I got it pierced.. but then it got infected and now whenever it gets bumped slightly it feels like my whole ear is on fire or something. I love you sig picture sweetdreadlover. Ani is amazing.
