My mom wont let me get a tounge peircing and i was just wondering if i got mine peirced if there was any way that i could go about it with out her knowing. i was gonna ask that with the lip peircing but i dont wanna walk around with me biting my lip all day. Peace and love Sammy
Well when I had my tongue pieced it was pretty obvious because of the way I couldn't talk. If you have an arguament with your mom before you get it done, you could pretend your like super pissed at her so therefore do not need to speak. It is hard to see, mt work never noticed I had mine done at all so it is quite hard for others to see. ps. you will have to salt water your mouth so if you can also do that without anybody noticing peace and love michael xxx
Honestly, listen to your mom. Any place that would pierce a 15yr old (without parental permission) anyway probably doesn't care about their customers, and probably doesn't take proper precautions.
no no no, if you must have it done, do not do it yourself, the tongue is very sensitive, for instance my tongue piecing had to go in slightly sidewards because i apparently have a vein in the middle, but i wouldnt have known and i could of cut the vein and been in serious trouble, plus it doesnt hurt at all professionaly, peace and love michael xx
jaysus no...you got all kinds of veins n shit goin thru yer tongue...dont even joke about that...bad bad girl...
oh dear lord, dont do it urself. but yeah, i had the same problem a few years ago. my mum said i could get it on my 14th birthday, i was impatient n got it 6 months before my birthday. And yeah, I hid it from her for about a total of 5 minutes after I got in the car when she picked me up from my friends house. I think it was cuz she had a feeling I was gonna do it anyway but if I had said one word to her, she would have known straight off. My tongue was so swollen I could barely be understood for like 4-5 days. And ur mum will also be wondering why u dont wanna eat (cuz believe me, u will be eating soup for a few days...i couldnt even manage soup, it hurt too bad) But in the end when my mum found out, she figured since it was already done there was no point in making me take it out so she let me keep it and eventually got used to it. Parents can surprise ya sometimes, ya never kno, she might let ya do it sometime without u having to deceiving her.
I've had my tongue pierced for over five months secretly and my parents still do not know. My advice to you is to make sure you pierce your tongue a little bit farther back rather than on the tip of your tongue. (Honestly, it looks a lot better that way. I personally do not like tongues pierced on the very tip.) At any rate, during the inital healing period, or at least the first week try not to speak much to your parents while your tongue is swollen, as you may have a lisp. Oh, and think before you speak. If not, you'll be lisping all over the place. Good luck.
Get a retainer. They're pretty invisible. If you eat a lot of ice your tongue shouldn't swell up. To be less obvious, drink a lot of cold drinks.
when u first get ur tongue peirced, u have to have a normal bar in (a real long bar because ur tongue will swell) but then as the swelling goes down, then u can put a retainer in. I wouldnt suggest changin the bar for at least a few weeks tho (i waited like 2 weeks, ur sposed to wait a month) but yeah, i think thats a good decision.
Awesome that you're going to wait. I really believe that if something is really worth having ( in most cases) it's worth waiting for. Yay for you!
i love mine..have had it just over 8 years... i take pride that i got it when it was still considered super weird n not so trendy...lol
