Okay I have this problem that really needs some input. See I am divorced and I have my own home. I drive truck so rarely am ever home. I have known this girl for a long time not in anyway other than just this person she would talk to. I let her move in since I have 3 extra bedrooms and have to pay bills on the house anyway. So she sends out the checks for bills for me, keeps the house clean ect. Well oneday she comes to me and lets me know she is interested in far more than a roomate sharing space. This all is not totally complicated except she is like half my age. I have a kid her age for christ sake! She is going on 19 and Im going on 37. I mean she is a great friend, love to talk with her and all. She is very attractive but had always never allowed anything to really reach the table on that level becuase well hell I think of myself as just some ol truck driver and her as this beautiful, funny, caring persont that will have so much to offer a person someday. I cant help but feel that I would just like be holding her back from finding this great guy out there someplace. I mean its not that Im not totally elatated by the whole idea but man, what kind of life could I offer her?
hey maybe one day I will figure out this new laptop and not miss the keys I wish to hit. Had a Sony Vaio but gave it away to another person and bought 2 of these Toshiba Satellites that Best Buy had on sale. I like it but the way my hands lay on the keys is different than the SOny was so I make boo boo's lol
Well at least you think positively of her. And she thinks positively of you. To me, that sounds ... well, like the beginning of a good relationship. Being a hippie and all, age difference doesn't mean squat to me, only feelings. Now, granted that you have feelings ABOUT the age ... that's understandable. Still ... she's probably still relatively young and quite possibly still relatively inexperienced, and if anything DOES come about it, you should be prepared to deal with the age-old teen drama. I'd refer you to that episode of American Dad where Haley and the guy's boss hook up, for an example of what could go wrong, sort of.
I would go for it, but not expect it to be a lifetime relationship. I hope that whatever you give her, is a postive reference that she will always remember as a pleasent memory, and even something she can compare future relationships to. Good luck. James
