anyone use dr. bronners for toothpaste? ever tried it? ive been told its horrible but i just did it this morning with the peppermint and i'm a fan. my teeth feel cleaner than they have in a long while! TRY IT!!!! by the way... it kinda tastes like soap... but i guess that's to be expected.:ack2:
So someone actually tried it! I use tea tree castille soap, so I've been putting it off thinking it would be awful... I've chickened out so far, but nice to know someone gave it a whirl and had good results. I guess toothpaste isn't supposed to taste good anyway...
i tried it with the tea tre wasnt a fan of the taste but did do a good job] ill try with the pepermint if i ever got it again i use it for everything else might as well brush with it
yeah i looked online and found a backpacking forum where they talked about using it while on the trail bc it can be used for so many other things.
how bout this... obviously if you really dont want to you dont have to... but im interested in people's opinions so give it a try and post on here what you think!
ill give it a try with my peppermint. Did you dip the brush in a diluted cup? or just put it directly on?
i filled a little rinse cup up to about half way with water and put a little squirt and there and swished it with my toothbrush. It didnt taste too bad at all, and it was kind of weird feeling because it would foam up in your mouth so different than regular toothpaste. Felt so clean tho.
i tried this last night.. i wet my toothbrush then just squirted a tiny bit on. it wasn't too bad!! it foamed up like crazy, hah. i'm not sure if i'll be making a complete conversion but i'll definitely use it when camping, etc. thanks for the tip!
I actually have used Dr. Bronners a lot to brush my teeth. I do not use flouride so I've tried lots of different stuff, but most natural toothpastes are either overpackaged or have sodium laureth sulfite. We don't use it on our hair, why ingest it? Soap works great, it doesn't leave a coating on your teeth either, and if you floss and avoid eating a crapload of sugar or other crap you'll be fine. On etsy there is a woman who makes soap chips for brushing your teeth. They're pretty awesome too!! Here's a link to one offering : http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_10&listing_id=12982200
