It always amuses me when people I went to school with find out that I'm gay. I didn't come out until after high school. Anyway, I was on facebook and a boy im'd me. He basically hit on me a bit then asked if I was married. I said, it's not legal for me. He was confused. I explained it to him. This is the response I received... "Wow! I'm shocked. I had a crush on you in high school. I never would have thought you were gay. You are too pretty to be gay." Hmmm.... Too pretty to be gay? That is such a misogynistic thing to say. As if women are only gay because we are too ugly to get men. Pfft.
yea I've heard that as well, like that has to do with anything. Men are really narrow minded, most men that found out that I was a lesbian totally stopped talking to me because they "couldn't attain" me ughhh
Haha i'd rather get the your too pretty than, to ones where str8 women gossip about whether or not they think I'm a man!! It happened again last night at a bar. I was standing there and she was gossiping.. and i said actually I'm a woman, and was damn near close to flashing her. So be pretty be beautiful, they are just jealous!!!!
I get I'm too pretty to be a dork. I'm a dork cause I like dorky things; not because I was too unattractive to have friends or dates. People can be pretty stupid.
ugh I can relate to this.. apparently only hot lesbians are in pornos?? sometimes I think it's worse for us bisexuals.. people think we do it for attention. I feel like I'm not taken as seriously.
Hahahahah! "no matter how big their dick is, how much money they make, how toned their abs are, they have no chance" Next time I get that shit how I am too pretty to be gay or that I am only saying so to get rid of him or that he doesn't care (while still hitting on me), I am totally using this line. @Lunarverse What's your problem w/ lesbians? Seems like yo have one and it seems like you have strong stereotypes about them as well. Lesbians who "try" to look like a man are NOT trying to look like a MAN. The way they dress, behave, cut their hair is who they are. Just like fem gays r not trying to be fem, they ARE. Deal with it. "as most women nowadays swing both ways as easily as a barn door in the wind." and hurt your ego?
Haha, oh god.. I get that all the time (not trying to be conceited) and it's like "Really? Are all straight people the same looking as well? Can straight people not be ugly? Because I've seen some SERIOUSLY jacked heteros in my day
No, never got that one... Recently I started talking to this guy and kind of mentioned a girl I was interested in or something... and he asked, "Are you bi?" I said no, he was like "oh, okay." I said, "I'm only attracted to women, not men." THEN he's like, "DAMN! I was sure you were at least bi because of the way you would look at me in class. That sucks because I kind of liked you!" lol I was like......... when you're a "sexual minority," you don't make assumptions that people you're interested in are "at least attracted to people of my gender." Even when I used a dating website and only "women seeking women" showed up on my search results and I even found a mutual interest there, I still thought it was strange and wondrous that there were other women interested in women profiled on the screen. lol
I find it a bit ironic that in the real world lesbians are only super-butch "mannabe's" but in porn, lesbians are always silicone enhanced Fembots, at least through a man's perspective. And for the record, I'm too pretty to be with anyone of either sex who says something that fucking stupid lol.
It's funny how people think. If you asked people whether I was lesbian or my sister, most would pick my sister because she's "masculine" by people's standards. This is the complete opposite of how it actually is. The funny thing is, she's actually a hopeless romantic, still collects disney princess stuff, and is currently fan-girling over British actor Ben Barnes. Yet, because she wears only guy clothes and isn't picky about hygene, they'd think of her as masculine. I'm tomboyish, loathe feminine fashion, and am generally "one of the guys". However, the fact that I do sometimes wear girl clothes and (rarely) makeup, I'm seen as more feminine and therefore not partucularly a subject of wondering about my orientation.
I get that, too. The only masculine thing I do is wear band shirts representing Slayer (of course), Iron Maiden, Dark Funeral, Cannibal Corpse, and Morbid Angel. Other than that, I am very feminine and I generally prefer feminine lesbians over butch lesbians.
That happened to me also. My sister in law and I were going to that bathroom at a club and some random guy comes calling us all the stupid names anyways so we ignore him but when we come out and start dancing with our girlfriends again he starts giving us all these looks like we're so disgusting and my girl saw him and asked what the heck is problem so he answers "its just that they are really pretty they shouldn't be with girls they should be with men. WTF... If men knew what the heck they were doing and how to treat a girl they wouldnt have to worry about pretty woman going lesbian. well some anyways lol
