    I wouldn't stay home for that reason. They're not that much in your face on live music festivals.
    Even if you spot one they're not an issue, and if they might be they're usually easily avoided. This also counts for dance music festivals actually.

    We just pretend like we aren't when in public.

    Whenever I'm feeling socially anxious around certain people, I always remember that they are into weird and freaky stuff too. :D

    I live 250 miles from Portland nowadays. But yeah the weirdness of it spills over in a 300 mile radius :p
