I do love going barefoot for all the health and sensuality reasons you can muster. Even in 20-degree weather! But heating conditions, however appealing they might seem, can be literally off-putting, as in OW or UFF. The present heat wave is one case. Dangerously hot just isn't the fun that I previously thought it might be. You were right, Ella!
I was wanting to go into Lowe’s today for a few 2 x 4’s but the blacktop was too hot for my feet. Happily the grass never gets too hot.
Here in Australia it can certainly get way too hot sometimes to go barefoot outdoors. When out and about on hot days I always keep a pair of sandals in the car or if I am out on one of my long barefoot walks, in a small backpack. I have only had to use them once in the last couple of years but good to know there is a backup plan!
Shoes like clothing were invented out of useful practicality. Not opposed to either just want the freedom to not use either except when needed.
My bare feet can handle the heat but if the black top is at 140 degrees Fahrenheit I wait until it cools off or I do everything early morning . But this year it has gotten up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and I still walked barefoot everywhere it wasn’t to bad .
I have been walking around barefoot in 104 to 107 degrees Fahrenheit and my bare feet can handle it for a few hours but I really don’t want to burn my feet so I’m careful for how long I walk barefoot in the heat . Last Sunday it was 107 degrees Fahrenheit and I was shopping and doing other errands in the heat and my bare feet got dirty . I even shopped at Walmart and the floor was really cool .
