I can't wait until I'm free from work. I need a vacation. I've been having a weird week, not bad, but lazy. I haven't been very productive outside of work. Boredom drove me here and it surprised me to see so many known people posting, not really. I guess I was glad to see your names. Everyone (or the few I encountered) seem to be doing well. I'm enjoying the fall. I started running recently, it soothes my mind, but it's hard to keep up with it. I have to wake up at 4:30am to do it, which is nice to do. I like being alone out there, seeing the stars and doing so much before 7am, but I also sleep terribly and I'm always tired. I got excited because I saw my first skunk the other day while running. I've started doing yoga too. I'm trying to keep myself sane or make myself less insane. Not sure. This is Aura btw. And I've been growing green onions next to my kitchen window. I'm proud of that. I also got myself a Vitamix and make green smoothies all the time, aligning my chakras lol. It does make me feel better. I haven't used it this week, that's probably why I feel so tired.
yeah, i would be excited but i have to work saturday too this week. i've also had a kind of weird lazy week. coincidence galore. you're probably the first person i've known to be excited about encountering a skunk. praxis is cherea now.
But they're so cute! And I had never seen one before and you don't really see them in Santo Domingo. I'm pretty sure we just don't have them, not even in the country, same with deer and squirrels, so I get very excited when I see all of them. I know Praxis is Cherea, but he'll always be Praxis to me. How are you? Are you still working at the pizza place? Maybe I'm mistaken, my memory keeps escaping from me. I should go to sleep.
skunks may look cute, until you get sprayed by one. they're never the same after that. i thought praxis' name change was back when you were still around. it's been a few days since i've seen him post, but he's still around anyway. i'm excellent. you are correct, but no, my schooling finally paid off and i've managed to leave pizza behind. i'm now the parks and rec guy for a very small town. you mentioned santo domingo, are you living back in the DR now?
I am excited for several things. Autumn in general. We get to wear boots, scarves and cardigans. Also, the smell of roasted chestnuts in the streets And new theatre season. Traviata next week!
I always wondered what that smells like. Back in 1904 the chestnut tree blight wiped-out every chestnut tree in New England and they’ve never been able to grow since Its such a hard durable wood you can still occasionally stumble upon an old tree stump as you walk through the forest :2thumbsup: Hotwater
It smells heavenly, so cozy and warm and inviting. It's like a tradition that marks the beginning of autumn. Speaking of New England, I stumbled across Yankee Candle today. I really wanted to buy something, but giving 20 USD for a scented candle seemed a bit too much. Instead I bought a H&M black knit beret and an eyeshadow brush at Müller
That sounds nice! So what does a parks and recreation guy does while at work? I'm still in the Philly 'burbs. Matt. I'm sorry to have ruined your safe haven. Piaf, I love fall and I get very excited over boots, scarves and cardigans. That's something you don't really get to enjoy in Santo Domingo, even if you try to force it.
Hahahah.... I was just joking around. Of course you know that. I am actually glad to hear from you again. I hope you're doing well. Sophia, too.
I know. I was kidding too. Sorta. We're good. It was Jack's bday party today, we had fun. It was at one of those moon bounce jumping places. I've been feeling exhausted all week though. I really need a vacation, last week I did about 21 hours of overtime. I haven't quite recovered.
basically, i take care of the parks (landscaping/maintenance/improvements and additions) and run the recreational programs.
