Who loves Tom Waits??????????? Right now I'm listening to Eyeball kid, off of Mule Variations... pure genius....this man
if you have never heard this guy's music... you are missing out. chocolate jesus, jesus gonna be here, earth died screaming, telephone call from istanbul, philipino box spring hog... *joyous sigh*
Tom Waits is incredible, stalk. Mule Variations is probably my favorite of his 1500 albums. But if you get a chance check out "Used Songs." It's not a studio album, but a compilation of his older stuff. I can listen to it all the way through. "Jersey Girl," "Ol' 55," "Tom Traubert's Blues," etc. "Don't you know there ain't no devil, there's just God when he's drunk." You'll love it.
He's also been in a lot of big movies. The Fisher King, Coffee & Cigarettes, Down by Law, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Wristcutters: A Love Story, and Short Cuts

He is even better live than on album. I have been lucky enough to see him twice and would go to see him again at the drop of a hat.
The only song I've heard by him is "Misery is the River of the World" (crazy video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw-u2X5EaGY) ... It's pretty cool. I'll have to check out more
