Tom Waits

Quite possibly among the most talented musicians in the last couple centuries, and one of the few lyricists worth note. Discuss.

 

I really like "God's away on Business" but I really haven't heard much else of his.

 

I like a good amount of the stuff ive heard of him. I only own swordfish trombones and blood money though. but ive heard others as well. Blood moneys very good in my opinion.

 

I just bought "The Heart of Saturday Night." I love that smoky piano bar sort of sound. Tom Waits is definitely spectacular. "Please Call Me Baby" just has that Sinatra something feel... ahhh. He's definitely good.

 

I like some of his music. I think he's a very talented guy. It's not really my cup o' tea, but I do enjoy his music from time to time.

I love his bluesy, jazzy kinda sleazey late night music he makes, no one else comes close to him in that genre

 

Mule Variations is a great album.

 

I'd have to say my favorite Tom Waits album is Nighthawks At the Diner. Live album with a sense of humor thrown in there.
