Are their many Tom Waits fans here ? I'm not a huge fan, but have been listening to him for a few years now, and i've been playing him constantly over the last few weeks. He's an incredible lyricist, second only to Bob Dylan i'd say. I've not heard his new album Real Gone, would you recommend it ? What are you 3 favourite albums and three favourite songs of his ? Yeah, yeah I like Tom Waits - I'm not a huge fan of his really weird kinda pirate stuff, but I love Closing Time - a beautiful, touching album.
Tom Waits rules. He sounds like he's cultivating some form of throat cancer, but nevertheless -- I love him. He's the grandpa I always wanted. Loves me some Waits, Ganja_Goo
I've only heard an album called live at The Diner or something like that. There were several quality songs on that, although I don't know them by name. Also heard a song or two by him with Zappa, I must listen to more! "Burgers and Fries, what kind of pies". Good stuff...
I consider myself a fan. i like Small Change, Rain Dogs, Heart of Saturday Night, some of Bone Machine etc etc.
