Ahhh.. Tom Petty was amazing.... The Black Crows Played for about 1 1/2 hours... They were great.. great set list.. lots of energy.. It was great..

Tom Petty stage was amazing... It was a big screen with random lines running throught it (to hard to explain) but it was very cool looking.... Het started off with "Listen to her Heart" and went into "You Dont know How it Feels" "Free Falling" "Mary jane" "Dont Do Me like that" the he played a new song from the album that will be released in the fall "Turn this car around" (or i think thats the title) It was a great song.. Very Petty... Then He Played "Handle With Care" (Traveling Wilberrys song for those who dont know).. He also Played Wildflowers and Melinda.. He wraped up with "Refugee" and "Runnin Down a Dream" (Im sure im missing some songs in this list :)) For an Encore He played "You Wreck me" and 'American Girl" It was a great concert... As always Tom gave it his all... Made the crowd cheer after every song and Just blew me away with his performence .. I have seen him before.. But everytime you see him is like seeing him for the first time all over again...

The Crowd was huge.. There were so many people there.. but there was such a good vibe around.. People being nice to others.. I made quite a few friends last night... The Petty crowd is always very nice...

So my only complaints were the venue.. I have always loved the meadows... But they have been bought out... And the new owners suck... They Wet down the lawn before every concert so if you sit you get a very wet ass.. making you want to go rent a chair... and No Caps... yes no caps.. They take the cap off your water, beer, soda.. Anything so you spill it and have to go spend another 8 bucks on something ( i watched 2 of my waters spill by passerbys).. We even saw a woman buy a coffee and they would not give her a lid... Thats a law suit waiting to happen... So the New rules at the venue put a slight damper on the night.. But It was still Tom Petyy at his best... And my new idea.. Insted of sneeking in beer or pot.. Im sneeking in bottle caps next time......

Is the Meadows that bad now? I saw Phish there 2 nights in 2000, Ratdog & Phil, too, The Other Ones, and I thought the place was cool. Except some sketchy bastard threw a bottle through someones window....

I've seen Tom Petty 2 times and I've never been let down. He might not be the best singer, guitarist, songwriter around, but you can really see he enjoys his job and can draw you right into it. Hes a master showman and thats' what makes him better then most musicians out there, his personality

I saw him last time he played there. Such a great venue, all though alittle far to drive. You will have a blast. Both shows? are you campin there? What a party that is!
