Back in the early 80s, while I was working at a Koala Inn across the road from the Bradley Air Museum near what was then the Bradley Field Airport, a tornado came tearing down one side of the road. We who worked at the motel were watching out the cellar windows at the tornado, which tossed the old planes at the museum around like toys! Never touched anything on our side of the road. Weirdest weather I ever saw, and I was never so close to a tornado...close enough to see the thing, and the whole sky had a strange, bruised appearance!
It's strange I've driven through the Nutmeg state what seems like a million times, and yet in most instances I was either driving to or returning from destinations further south or west. sorry about that
We'll be on the west side of the landfalling Tropical Storm (also known as the wet side), rather than the east side (or windy side) which is more vulnerable to the spin-up of Tornadoes. It will still be a wild ride for about 10 hours.

Well, last week was so distracting I don't remember posting one weather report... so here I go. Today is Sunday, July 11, 2021 and it is the middle of a HOT summer up in the Northern Hemisphere. In La Paz, BCS, we are moderated in temperature by our closeness to the Sea of Cortez (sometimes known as the Gulf of California). Anyone else noticing a delay when uploading images?
I am not a fan of dreary, and humididity is no fun either, so sorry to hear that Deidre! I hope your day gets cheerier as we go along It is taking a lot of coffee to do that here...
