I didn't really know which forum to post this in, but what does everyone think about the tobacco industry? The South Park episode highlighting the industry was good and basically said that we know cigarettes are bad, but its our choice. Tobacco companies did use some underhanded tactics in the 50s, i.e. not saying that they are addictive and they are harmful, but today i figure if you wanna smoke, go ahead.

Everyone knows all the shit they put in the cigs. The companies have even slowed down on advertisements. You you wanna put crap in your body, do it, I don't give a shit. They used the whole "cures what ails ya" crap, which I actually kind of like, so idk.

Tobacco companies are the government's bitch. Their days are numbered thanks to overtaxation and our brave, new, anti-smoking world. At least we can sleep well at night knowing that others know what's best for us, and armed with the magic words "public health," have little opposition.

Unless it's laced with something. In my area pure, natural weed is hard to come by unless you or someone you know well grows their own. All the other stuff available has different colored hairs or other crap in it.

i liked what south park did. thats exactly the way it is too. its not the tobacco industry's fault for people dying. its people who smokes fault, and if they know about the risks then why smoke?

i smoke, but only after smoking a few bowls.

i also liked how the fat guy against the tobacco industry in south park was constantly eating..

I agree...the same thing happens to me...
even though I do smoke on a daily basis...so you know..
but yeah...for some reason when I'm drunk that does tend to happen to me...
even though sometimes both weed and ciggs make me sick...it all depends on how much I've drank and my mood really...

Personally i just don't care...I smoke, especially when I'm tripping or oafter smoking a few bowls.....yeah I know it kills...but oh well...we gotta die somehow...

By the way "brokenwingz", you're gorgeous...

    Can I get you're num?..hehe...;) ...

I personally cannot stand ciggeretes they are rather nasty. Everyones like catch a buz catcha buz" im just standing their like your a dumb fuck.

As far as what I can tell, people who smoke only get a buzz (stress reliever) because they are needing the nicotine (which creates the stress), thus, we smoke it feeds the addiction, then relieves stress. Pretty stupid IMHO, not to mention your body feels like shit, it smells like shit, it tastes like shit, makes your food taste like shit... So again, someone explain to me the point in ciggeretes?

If there is an effort to make your relatives cancer no matter how dumb they can be, so should be a counter effort.

What there should be is more taxes on tabacco which would lead to less and less being bought. Even if it is a person's choice to smoke, the majority of people do not know what is right for them. If they still want to buy and smoke cigarettes I dont see why not, there should be more warnings about the dangers and effects of cigarette smoking but the people have already been told. Smoking in public should also be illegal, they are not only killing themselves but anyone who breathes in that 2nd hand shit.

You're forgetting about the farmers who grow it. Being from Kentucky i know about tobacco and quite a few people make their living because of it. Now if we tax it to hell and no one buys, what happens to these farmers?

they get other jobs! duh. that's just like saying something ridiculous like, "well I've been sellin crack my whole life and I make a living by it, if I was to stop, I would have no money!" yeah, but you would somehow get a better job! I hate how some people would do just about anything, no matter how it affects the world, just to make money. there are numerous other ways to make money.

It does not matter how much you tax smokes; if they are addicted, they will buy them. I know a bunch of people that said they would quit when cigarettes reached 4 dollars. They did, and guess what, they are still smoking. I do agree on the second-hand smoke. Smokers are polluting other people's fresh air.

in canada on all the packs they got these great gruesome warnings that take up almost half the box and inside is a card saying how horrible what you have just purchased for you is. i think this is the next step for america, for all those visual learners out there
personally i smoke additive free tobacco, not that its really that much healthier for you, but i enjoy a smoke or two per day, im aware of what i might be doing to myself
