tobacco in the drug store needs to go!!

everything in the drug store is there to make you healthy and better........ I think we can agree on that. :sunny:

? so why do they sell tobacco, Wouldnt it be in the best interest of health and wellness to stop selling tobacco in drug store chains like Rite Aid, CVS, WallGreens.. ?

Why on earth do these stores need to carry tobacco?

There are many other stores within the shopping districts these chain stores are normally located in. They carry tobacco also..

I do not believe that its that profitable. I believe it would be more profitable to take the correct and responsible approach to their mission statement anyways. ..

I do work for a trucking company that ships strictly tobacco products..

I also know that the atmosphere in the building is full of nicotine.. When I work there I come home and smoke less, Im convinced i absorbed it.. After a day or so im smoking more tobacco to catch back up if I havent worked..

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada doesn't carry Tobacco.

 

wtf would that accomplish.. except make a bunch of people drive further for cigs, burn more gas and clog up the roads.

 

Here you can not buy tobacco products in any pharmacy. They also can not sell it in a grocery store that also has a pharmacy in it. Retail outlets that have a pharmacy can also not sell tobacco.

This became law when they banned smoking in public places.

While I don't think it stops anyone who smokes it does stop the pharmacies from making a profit on a drug (tobacco) that they then make further profit on treating.

I can't stand how people are constantly trying to restrict the choices of grown, tax paying citizens, and businesses. if you don't want to smoke cigs then don't fucking buy them. it's pretty simple.

 

in my town you can't even smoke in bars anymore. pretty ridiculous especially considering it's private property and cigarettes are legal. should be up to the business owner. not the government's damn business what someone does with their own property. if some of the people coming through having a problem with it, tough shit. not your property, not your call.

same logic goes toward pharmacies. if the pharmacy wants to sell cigs, and you don't own that pharmacy, it's none of your business they sell cigs.

 

The drug store near me has the highest prices on tobacco compared to the other places you can buy it, at least by $1.00. Plus the shit is always stale, that's why I go out of my way to buy it somewhere else. It would'nt bother me at all if they stopped selling it.

 

I think if more people smoked the world would be a better place.

Have you checked the side effects on all the different medications? Potentially more dangerous then the smokes themselves.

 

I think it's good that the phamacies here can't sell it, why should they get paid twice?
