Tell him I know he was afraid of me and he had good reason to be and still does. I'll work that karma out in my next life. In my next life I will be a queen and he will be my slave.
My father was a liar and I was the one(out of 4 daughters) who always had to straighten up the messes he made. He lied to me several times and it cost me money, not a little money either. He broke promises, he was married five times, he had been an alcoholic for thirty years and then went to rehab. He never apologized for any of his shit. He abused my half sisters when they were little because he was an idiot and a drunk. He lived off his parents and never supported himself. He was a complete selfish loser. I had to be the grown up in our relationship. Then he had the temerity to die of lung cancer and break the last promise he made. To say we had a difficult relationship is an understatement. He was afraid of me because I never let him get away with his crap. I always called him out on it. He loved to blame every character flaw and mistake he had made on his mother. I say that is bullshit. You are grown up and you chose it and you own it.
I just read this and damn.. all this frustration and anger must cost so much of your energy.. is it really worth it to still stress over this now he's gone? Maybe you could do something to get some closure, because he really sounds like he's not worth it to ruin the rest of your life as well. Do some kind of ritual and try to let go.. for your own sake.
