so here it is: im considering hacking my hair off to about shoulder length. right now my hair is layered and its longest in the back - that part is currently down to the middle of my back. my face is pretty round so a really short haircut would never work. i was considering something along the lines of this

    any thoughts?
there are two attached pics so you can get an idea of what my hair looks like now

    Who cares?

Personally, I think your hair looks good as it is. The short hair wouldn't look as good.

Does it take a long time for you to grow your hair?

I think either way, a trim would be a good idea. What about an inbetween stage of those pics and what you have now?

yes cut it. short is hot and i think this kind of haircut will suit you well. it is always nice to make some kind of change with your appearance.

    Whatever makes you happy.
If it's unhealthy, & getting tough to care for... You could go shorter and still be a hottie... Your hair length won't change that status.
Perhaps a little shorter with a trim, as previously suggested by Cate8?

Why are you wanting to cut it, anyways? Is it damaged? I can't tell.

Funny how the guys want you to keep it and the girls want you to cut it.

So that means if you are a lesbian you should cut it, if you are a heterosexual you should keep it and if you're bisexual you should glue it to your upper lip.

Life's an adventure. It's up to you which trail you decide on. Personally, I like you the way you are. The impression I get is that once it's cut, you'll look less casual/friendly/sexy, and more business/professional/sophisticated. But that's just me. Some women like being more "done". Do you like being done? :p

Either way, you'll still be attractive. But again, it's no adventure if nothing changes.

    P.S.,,

It goes unsaid, but every time we change our appearance, we have an effect on those who know us according to our appearance, for the better, or for the worse, depending on how well they know us, and how tolerant they are of our changes. The only way to find out how it affects them is to make the change.

I find that men will like a certain look, but not know what they like about it. Most men will say to not cut your hair, but they may LOVE it after you do..

I have a round face shape as well. I wouldn't go that short, especially because of how thick my hair is. I do think you could use a trim though of a few inches, it would definitely make you feel freshened up.

i definitely need a trim, its been months since ive gotten one. i have really thick hair too lol much thicker than yours. i just love the bob hairstyle but its tricky when you have that round face and chubby cheeks. i was also thinking about keeping my hair the way it is and trying bangs...i could always grow them out and sweep them to the side if i didnt like it. that would seem like a good way to play it safe. its going to be very cold here soon

just to try something new :p my hair isnt damaged (other than needing a trim) i take very good care of it

I am actually doing the bangs thing, in a couple weeks, right before school starts. I grew them out and want them back now. And YES! The chubby cheeks thing, I have that too haha. I actually wouldn't be surprised if we had the same thickness of hair. Its ridick.

your hair looks like it moves :p mine is very thick and heavy but it is very low maintenance. i only wash it 3 times a month. its very dry naturally so i have to keep it hydrated with different products but other than that, i rarely comb it (i NEVER use brushes). im going to the hair dresser tomorrow ;) i will let you know how it goes
