Here are a few tips to help legalize drugs.

    1. use them...just like with the alcohol prohibition, if alot of people use them and the general public wants it the goverment will eventually break.

    2. don't cause trouble while tripping....it gives a case for anti-drug people to argue with.

3.if a questionair ask if you used drugs before, always say yes. Unless you have to put your name on it.

    4. get educated about drug laws, and if caught, use your knowlage of drug laws to try to show that the drug prohibition is in fact a violation of human rights, which can then change the whole law.

    5. educate the public about the truth, not the fabricated lies from the government.

So you're paranoid. Trust me, cops don't look for users. Users get caught because of stupidity 90% of the time.

Most of what I say applies to the regulations in America, to end any confusion.

I don't think many drugs will be legalized, despite any efforts made, allow me to elaborate.. Many of us ruin our chances by just the stupid shit we do while we may be under the influence. I usually don't, but I only say 'we' because I am not perfect at times... This isn't exactly an argument but merely a few flaws(in my own mind), to each point you brought about.

    1) With the drug that is legal (alcohol), how many people end up driving under the influence anyway? How many kids do you know who will drive a car while being high on just about anything? I'm surprised we even get alcohol. Though alcohol was always difference for some reason, it's a beverage, and ofcourse with the way the general public thinks, ofcourse drinking a seemingly harmless beverage that has social benefits would probably be more accepted before shoving a needle in your arm for relief of the shit life brings you.

Do you know why the electoral college exists? Because the founding fathers thought the general public would be too stupid to elect their own president. I don't believe it worked like that at all with alcohol prohibition.

    2) A lot of people who trip do it almost anywhere, and ofcourse they may or may not be aware of what they are doing at the time of it, so there's not like there is much you can do about LSD and what not. I mean I'm not going to point out every aspect of every drug but from personal experience I can be a lot more calm and collected, drunk off my mind, than being absolutely mind fucked from an acid trip.

    3) Just because everybody is doing drugs, doesn't mean you should too. I know drinking isn't any better but some drugs really do fuck up your head, and cause more severe addictions (and faster), than prolonged alcohol use. I don't see any benefits of legalizing the more extreme drugs like heroin and what not.

    4) We live in a society which is governed, whether you like it or not, you are given certain rights, and rules, for where you live. Just because you are born and are living your own life doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want, especially if it will effect the society around you. That would be selfish. Human rights were created by us, and can be destroyed by stupidity too. It's not like we were born with God given rules that not even a government can disobey.

    5) Okay, a lot of times the government and anti-drug programs mislead you on certain drugs. Even though i use certain drugs, it's not like I blame them. It's not like anybody would want to be an addict to any drug they choose to do. It's a little extreme making up lies about what a certain drug can do to you to scare you off, but what's better? Being scared / paranoid / less likely too break the law or knowing the 'supposed' truth and breaking the law? I think the second choice lands you in jail first. I mean after all most drugs ARE illegal.

In the end you are altering your state of mind with almost any drug you use. I guess for spiritual purposes you could call it a little bit more morally correct but other than that, not really. But maybe thats what the government wants me to think. Honestly in their eyes I'm sure it just seems like, 'Why legalize this and cause a whole bunch of issues with (more) people doing stupid shit, when we can just make it illegal and get rid of the few strays who do it anyway?'

You have to remember other peoples safety, and the few dumb asses that always ruin things for the rest of us.

No, because when they started it, it would be damn near impossible to take votes from individual people in a timely manner. When horses are the fastest transportation you've got, getting votes from CA to VA could take a while.

Yeah, you may do more stupid shit while tripping, but how many violent crimes do trippers commit? How often do they steal to get more drugs? The worst I've seen a tripper do is give unwanted hugs or talk someone's ear off.

Because it'll reduce the number of people having to steal to feed their addictions. It will help slow the spread of STDs because clean needles will be readily available. I don't approve of using needles myself, but you have to be realistic and realize that it's going to happen. Why not make it as safe as possible for the people who would do it anyway?

Actually, we're supposed to be able to do whatever we want. We're supposed to be living in caves, killing and eating animals and collecting berries. Laws and rules are created by man.

The main way that drug users break the law is by actually doing drugs, or having to use violence to protect their drugs that they sell. If we make them legal and available in legitimate shops, we won't have those problems, or at least as much.

It's only morally wrong because it's illegal. The only "religions" that I know of that specifically bans drugs is Buddhism and Taoism, and those are more guidelines that should, not have to be, followed. I can't speak for anyone else's personal views, but most of the people I've seen either use or are indifferent about them.

    I agree.

Do you actually know this or are you just saying that? As far as I've learned in school it was built for the reason I stated, they didn't trust the american citizens to make the appropriate choices.

Lol True, but like I said I wasn't going to give an example for every drug. It's hard to do any task that involves objective reality when you're tripping, so I agre.

Alcohol isn't illegal and it's still expensive. If you're a fiend for heroin, and a middle/lower class person, and need to feed your craving every day and get to much withdrawals to even work without getting psychotic, eventually you'll run out of money and need a way to obtain money that doesn't require effort, stealing or not. Clean needles are true, but every drug has it's own side, heroin was an example. Why make it safe for people when it's the drug making them irresponsible enough to use any needle to get their fix?

Well if we were still savages who never evolved, don't you think you'd run into a drug on accident, rather than because you knew / were informed about it? We're not 'supposed' to be doing that, that was just something we did when we didn't have something called 'intellect'. We're past the stage of just landing on the earth. I mean if you want to ignore evolution than technically I could say we're all supposed to be single cell organisms floating around on the walls of a cave.

As far as I'm concerned for some reason most laws state it isn't illegal to be high on the drug, but to possess (own/carry) / distribute etc. Drugs that give addictions to feed will never really be problem-less unless they are absolutely free and readily available. Like my example above with a hardcore heroin addict, eventually there will come a point where nothing but obtaining the drug matters, so why would people be responsible enough to maintain a life and an outside job if all it's about is getting that drug. Still an issue, but true, maybe less of one. Depends on the drugs being offered in shops. Opiates are a very different issue imho.

I guess that's true, but if it's fucking with your internal organs and what not, well it's just wrong to do it to yourself period. Depending on the drug ofcours.

That's just kind of my logic/ opinion. I guess I should have stated that, but I'm lucky to have my eyes open right now.

Alcohol isn't nearly as expensive as most black market drugs. I've got drunk on less than $5 before.

The drug doesn't make people irresponsible. There are actually heroin addicts that won't rip people off. Hell, my cousin shoots H, oxy and coke on a daily basis and doesn't rip people off. People just like to blame their behavior on a chemical so that they don't have to deal with the fact that they're theives.

The way I see it, we haven't evolved. Everything "modern" that we have pretty much just destroys the Earth that we have to live on. I wasn't really talking about this point in reference to drugs, though.

You can't get high on anything without possessing it at some point. and I never said it'd solve all problems, some people are just scum, but it'd help. And it actually is illegal to be high if you're not in your house. It's called Public Intoxication. Plus almost every drug will leave some paraphenalia behind.

No, not really. Stupid, maybe, but if you want to kill yourself slowly, I think that's a personal problem.

And I'd just like to say thanks for responding like an adult this time. I know it takes 2 people to argue, but I think you flamed me undeservingly in the last thread.

Yeah I guess that's true. I wasn't thinking and was going by the full bottle price, as I'd usually pick up a big bottle of bacardi 151 for like 17.99 (highest proof we have here else I'd get everclear). And since like 1/5th of those can get me drunk, I guess you're right. Idk, certain drugs, you don't do all at once. Kind of like a 20 bag of pot can last some time if you get stoned off of only a joint or two.

Hmm yeah, I guess I was thinking of more of a run down - down-town scene. But I'd like to believe that there will always be the people who can manage themselves and then people who can't. I think it's all about where you grew up or live. If you're in the slums and don't have a friend in the world, then I guess irresponsible could be a possible issue. Your cousin must have tons of self control!

Well, I wouldn't say that too generally. Wasn't there people who would put acid on your door knob in the 60s and shit like that? Or is it that just a myth. I'm sure there's lots of intentional posionings of other people, or maybe I watch to much movies. I've seen something where a guy gave some kid ectasy saying it was an aspirin, date rape drugs is another thing. Or people who get clammed baked? Well, I guess I made my point clear that you can be unintentionally intoxicated by somebody else against your will, but would the law believe you is another story.. Just like stories of people accidentally being served Datura. I never even heard of Public Intoxication either so thanks for that, I'm going to read on it.

Mm yeah, I guess damaging your body intentionally or unintentionally being wrong or right is up to the user to decide as morally incorrect or correct. But living is also killing yourself slowly, assuming you have the ability to age and die, so yeah lol.

And yeah, I will admit I can get a bit over the edge when I feel as though people are making a personal attack at me, but I'll try and just see their point. Some people just don't read fully through of what I'm saying and then start saying stuff and it gets me bothered. Especially when I'm on a drug forum considering something no matter what somebody else says and just waiting on advice, and then someone comes by and tells me that I'm an idiot or going to die from it, or just goes off topic. I heed the warning but I'm down for the risks. But either way I'm trying to clean up my act here :) Lol.

Actully be glad drugs are illegal or the world would be a lot more fucked up. The only drug that should be legalized is weed. Believe it or not after time lsd/shrooms can fuck up your mind if you use it a lot. Think if meth was legal how much more people would abuse it and think about all those annoying tweakers with meth induced mood swings. Think about all the dumbass people that would wanna try all the drugs because their legal now and I can imagine idiots taking like 7 tabs of acid then going crazy and killing themselves. Think of the crazy ass people that would try to rob drug shops. Trust me man it's best drugs are illegal excluding sweet maryjane.

I guess there is always a small group of people who fucks up everything for millions of others who can benefit from it. That is the case with drugs also, so , because of few who are lost and irresponsible and can't controll them self, the drugs are illegal for everyone, but the irony is that those irresponsible ones, they are still irresponsible, with or without the drugs. Maybe there should be the law against irresponsibility, not the law against the drugs. But, I guess I got carried away.....
