Been with my wife for about 21 years and I still get going thinking about her and she says she experiences the same things you mention, and gets a sly little grin on her face. When I was young the butterflies where gone after 1-2 months in relationships. 38 years ago I met my wife and for my surprise I can still feel butterflies in my whole body when I think of my wife, kiss her neck, caress her bottom and feel her shivering. For several years I don't feel it anymore while looking another attractive women but I don't regret this.
