My attempt to summarize some classic stories from history-

    They were happily married.
He left his loving wife and home to achieve something- to get eternal bliss from the gods above.

He prayed for 25 years, living in solitude, with strict discipline and meditations.
The deity was please and offered him a fruit- Fruit of eternal life.
“Eat this and you will never die” The deity said.

Happily the man took it back to his wife. She refused to eat.
After spending almost all life with difficulties and in poverty she was tired and now she was looking forward to spending last few remaining days with her husband before dying peacefully.
Neither he wanted to eat and life forever without his wife.

They discussed and decided that better give this fruit to our king, who is good and mighty. It will help the whole kingdom and the society at a large.
This king loved his favorite queen and had composed “Shringara Shatak” – 100 verses pertaining to erotic and romantic love. He told her to eat this fruit and forgot about it
    A month passed.
One day, sitting in his court, the king was addressing people and resolving issues. A town prostitute appeared from somewhere behind and gave him this fruit of eternal life. She said, she loved him the most and didn’t want him to die. The king was shocked to see the fruit come back once again.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that the queen gave it to her lover, who gave it to the woman he loved, who gave it to the man she loved and so on till it came back to the king.
Now the king was disgusted with all this and wrote “Vairagya Shatak” – 100 verses pertaining to dispassion and detachment. It starts with-

To hell with her, with him, with the cupid
With all this incidence and to to hell with me as well, who got carried away!
    (Melodious lyrics and rhythm)

He left his kingdom to his younger brother and retired to the caves inside the dense forest.
Here, he met his guru, and composed next classic- “Neeti Shatak”—100 verses pertaining to Moral behavior, before attaining nirvana.
