Time dilation Some people believe time does not exist, or that it is a fourth dimension, etc.. Despite what anybody believes, we all have a concept of time. Ever notice how "time flies when you're having fun"? Well...we human beings can dilate time, it seems. Ever had a long day at work that just felt like it was never going to end? I have been trying to master this siddhi for years...I find the concept very intriguing. And if not master, at least get a little better at it! I bring this up because the past two days have gone by faster than any other two days of my life and I'm wondering: Is this collective? Or subject to the observer?
i have been thinking long and hard about this. the best thing i can think to say is: it is subject to the observer that term can sum up many other things, as well, though it is broad. but then again, that is also subject to the observer.
If it was subject to the observer, than it can be controlled if it is not subject to the observer, that would indicate some sort of unphysical material that we are all drenched in it's a fascinating thing to think about
yes it is. and point taken, but as you said before, "time flies when you are having fun" goes to show that it is indeed subject, and possibly controlled.
yes indeed... I am wondering now what the parameters are... Think about Dreams. You go to sleep for a minute and have a insanely vivid dream...ever done that? I have....it's crazy... Yeah i want to figure this out.
yes i have, and that kinda plays into one of the convo's in Waking Life. about how we can be in a dreamstate for what may be 5 minutes, and it can feel like a significantly greater amount of "time". and then it goes on about the last remaining 7 minutes of brain activity before death... who knows.... :cheers2:
I wrote this little piece on death not too long ago, dig it: When you die and slip down into your subconsciousness your brain frequency will drop so low From 10Hz (roughly) 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 and then beyond one far beyond the Hz spectrum There are waveforms in the universe that are 10 light years long. 1 Hz is a 1 second waveform. When you die your brain will emit frequencies so slow that time will dilate. There is no time, here. Your mind becomes like a black hole at this point. I'm sure you could live an entire lifetime in moments like that. Can't forget about those few minutes of brain activity after death. All the information you ever gathered will be uploaded into our consciousness matrix. Lodged into our collective genetics. "We art one."
i definatley dig it, you a complicated man, stalk certainly provided me with some great brain-food, time for some tuna.
ahh this is such a cool subject, ive always wondered why time is like that. always seems to be that wen u want it to zoom by its goes slow and vice versa. its gota be all in the mind. stalk your writing is mint, ur posts always interest me. if u find the answers let me kno.
time only exists in the minds of humans told in different languages through history to hold history but when humans are gone time will no longer exist because who whould be around to remember what time is? time only exists as long as the thought of humans is still alive
yeah, thats gota be right. time sucks anyway, i hope its not real! i want to forget about time. then u cant be waiting on something your just here and now.
Because you only exist now. It's always now. The past is just a concept in your mind that is no longer around, and the future is just you projecting your imagination. Where is the past and future? By thinking about the illusion of past and future, we trap ourselves by attaching to things that aren't real. It's just another source of suffering. Maya.
