Time discrepancy on Anthem of the Sun

Why is it that the back of the c.d. lists the song Alligator as being 15:17minutes long, yet when I play the c.d. it ony goes to 11:20 minutes? Wikipedia lists it as 11:20, and so do most other sites, but I did find this website:

lists it as 15:17. Someone once sugested it was 15:17 on the original vinyl record but was edited for c.d. release. But this makes no sense as c.d.s are longer than vinyl. So, does anyone know what's going on? Maby this is something every dead head should know, but I am not a dead head and don't know any, and this is the only dead c.d. I own. I tryed google and searching this forum, but that didn't help. If there is a 15:17 version of the song I'd like to hear it as it is one of my favorites on the album.

Mmmmm I love alligator... as far as I'm aware on the latest re-releases of all the dead albums they included a number of bonus tracks on the cds... and one is a 15 minute live version of alligator

 

That's weird, my disc is definitly not the latest re-release, it's over 10 years old.

And yes, alligator is yummy, especialy deep fryed gator nuggets with remoulade and tebasco.
