So apparently there's a new online challenge on youtube, where dumb teenagers are putting Tide pods in their mouths to see how far they can go, and how long they can last burning sensation. Why? Normally I'm caught up on internet memes, but this is the first I'm learning about this. And apparently this has been going on for over a week.
I recently picked up Gain Flings! I'm interested in knowing the difference in effects between these and Tide Pods.
are (this thread) talking about those pre measured soap things for the washing machine? i know a lot of people these days probably need to wash their mouths out with soap sounds like just another stupid human trick. why tide though? i don't think they were the first soap company to market them, at least the furst ones i saw were some kind of generic store brand i'd never heard of.
When I saw the post saying that cannabis is safer, I assumed that laundry pods were some new fancy drug and since I am not an expert, I did not read the post. Their is no doubt that cannabis is safer than putting detergent in your mouth, particularly if they end up swallowing it. Do these idiots have any idea how much real and potential damage they are doing to their health.? The enzymes in modern detergent attack grease, removing the protective coating in the mouth, stomach, small intestine and bowel. Entering into the blood, it could disrupt hormone glands. The end results could be horrific, but the damage could take months (or even years) to fully manifest itself. The short term immediate effects, could include. Damage to enzyme glands in the mouth, destroying the bodies ability to convert complex carbohydrates into simple sugars. Damage to stomach lining, allowing sugars to either be blocked or be allowed to flood into the blood. Damage to the small intestine preventing the correct absorption of water. Damage to the bowel that would be unable to compact the soapy slime. The first 2 could lead to type 2 diabetes, while the later could trigger IBS. Long term damage could in the beginning lead to ulceration and possible septicemia, with the possibilities of cancers in later life. I have only mentioned the damages that immediately spring to mind, their could be plenty more, including kidney damage. These fools are simply putting poisons in their mouth. Their is no other way of putting it.
10 people have died including 2 toddlers eating tide pods although in the case of the toddlers they thought it was something sweet. The Ice bucket challenge for ALS was a good idea but Tide Pods, really

i think they want to prove if they're aggressively thoughtless enough they can get away with hating logic. reality laughs at them and then they die. maybe a few survive and grow up.
