Did you know that back in the day:p when women used reuseable pads (I mean waaay back, like a two or three hundred years ago), men used to wash them, along with the other clothing. Isn't that weird/kinda neat? I mean, considering now if you mention periods, they go "Ah la la la not listening! Ewewewew!", and they used to touch and wash them?

I find it a bit ridiculous that many people find it so hard to talk about those cycles...

On the other hand, there are societies in which women go to the menstrual hut during that time of the month, as it is considered dangerous for a male to come into contact with (muchless have sex with or handle sanitary products of) menstruating women. I don't know how common this still is, but it was practiced until recently if not still practiced in at least a few cultures.

Western women tend to look at those societies & just see women as being banished for bleeding & whatnot... However, the reason they are dangerous is because they are too powerful. According to some, a menstruating woman can hurt someone simply by thinking it, without intending any ill effects to actually occur -- you know, those little things most people will think but never consider actually doing. Also, female anthropologists have reported that the women see it as a break from an ordinarily male-dominated household, that they see it as a time of female-bonding, rather than as a time of banishment. Hell, considering the cramps & moodswings I tend to get, I wish I could go off to a moon hut for a few days each month!

Yeah, menstruation (sp?) is as natural as birth or death, I don't see why guys get all freaked out. Okay, you know what, guys? WE deal with the fact that blood comes out of our vagina for a week straight every single month, I don't see why you can't!

Keep that in mind. Once, when a guy was thinking that "NO! Get off of me! Let me go!" meant 'yes' I lied and told him I had my period and he went from trying to get my pants off against my will to getting off of me and leaving.

I find it as more of a blessing than a curse, and I don't think it's bad, just sort of inconvenient and annoying. I think it makes females stronger and smarter, I mean, yeah, way back guys did the hunting while girls stayed home cooking and cleaning and raising kids, but I think that just means we're stronger, I mean, we go through periods, PMS, giving birth (some, not all women), raising kids (again, some), etc.
