Presently, Tic Toc has been ordered by legislation to divest itself of its China ownership.

However, Tic Toc has obtained a hearing before the Supreme Court under its claim that the Constitution's provision for free speech makes the legislation illegal, even though the Constitution does not provide such protection for foreign bodies.

Tic Toc has been ordered to divest by January 19th. It's hearing before the Supreme Court is scheduled for January 10th.

Tic Toc has demonstrated itself to be an extremely censorious operation. Certainly it has never held itself to a free speech ethos before this.

It'll be interesting to see what the Court decides.

Imagine if we could focus the collective energy and intellect that is wasted with Tik Tok and Facebook on something positive...we could cure cancer.
