This is a reminder to folks to please use a descriptive title when starting a discussion thread. The key is to spend a bit of time to find words that will describe what the post is about- this will aid in making the forums more searchable as well as make it more likely that someone will actually read and respond to what has been written. I'm well aware that some find titles such as "So, uhh...", "Woohoo", "aargghhhhh", and "...." intriguing but such threads are subject to deletion. Further, when a thread has been removed it's not general practice for its author to be notified- it's just not practical to justify every move. If you feel that your posts has been deleted in error, please PM a mod with your concern and as time permits, you'll get a response... .PLEASE do not start another thread complaining about it as that will also be deleted Your anticipated cooperation will be much appreciated.
i have a better idea. how about no one is allowed to start a topic, only moderators can. why partially try to control what people want to type. do it fully.
So the transformation is complete? The machine has him now guys. All hope is lost. j/k I just avoid making threads to keep from having to think. I like it better that way.
a random thought like i like green apples should have a title like whats your favorite color apple not so i boughjt some shoes today if you throw randsom titles on random thoughts you have nothing at all any1 will ever read random thoughts are thoughts not just words spewed out just so u feel important seeing your wordss on the screen ofcourse if your thougts arent important enough to desserve a title that would lead some1 to click it then go ahead & use titles like omg wow & have it deleted i dont get why people get so upset if somethings deleted but they dont give a shit if any1 ever reads it otherwise theyd give it a title worthy of the thought
I'm not challenging you because the mods make the rules but my question is.. if a thread title describes the content then the content will be realised before it is read. Therefore the content will not be a random thought because the title would make it totally premeditated.. this would eliminate the randomness of the random thought.. posted in the Random Thought forum
\ not at all first you put down the thought random as can be then you look at it & think..hmm whats this about & use that as the title the thoughts random, the title descriptive &..some1 will read it titles like <><><><> will get ppl to read them but only with the purp;ose of saying "dumbest thread ever"
That works both ways.. you could click on a thread with a dumb title and be enlightened by the content.. Either way, I'll title my future threads appropriately
I'll lock it and if another mod. (stinkfoot) wants it open for debate, they can feel free to open it back up. I think shutting it would be a great idea personally.
Look- it's the fucking rule... you have a problem with the rule that you agreed with when you signed up then you can leave. I think I bent over backward to try and be as diplomatic about this and give a heads-up as to why some threads are being deleted, being mindful that the authors may not know that they are being deleted. If you insist on acting like a spoiled brat dickhead about being expected to abide by a few rules as spelled out by the webmaster then by all means DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU IN THE ASS ON THE WAY OUT!!!!
