If your country does not celebrate Thanksgiving you can still participate in the pre-Christmas spirit anyways and this may read a bit like a prayer at times... but it's really just wishes for individuals and the world. So, here goes...

This Thanksgiving let us think a little bit less about who we wish we were and what we wish we had then what we already are and the good qualities we have inside of us and the things we already have.

May we learn to be grateful for the most simple things...maybe we aren't where we think we should be... maybe things in life aren't always fair and there are things yet to be done, but if we have good food to eat- not everyone does. If we have people to love that love us, not everyone does. If you are using the internet, you surely have more money than many people in this world, so, another opportunity to be grateful. How's your health? Another opportunity to be grateful... even if your health is bad... you probably have an opportunity to correct things and live a long, productive life.

Let's stop buying into all the negativity of the media and the disillusioned people who would seek to destroy other people's outlooks. Such people only gain power if they are listened to and digested. Gratitude can be as simple as, if you eat a bite of tender, juicy turkey (which I'm doing now... I was lucky enough to receive two humanly raised, natural, no-antibiotics used large turkeys for free through hubby's job and I felt the urge to make one today...), taste it and give thanks. But not just for the turkey (if you get my point, substitute whatever...), but that I had an oven to cook it in.. a spouse that works and has a decent job... a roof over our heads... heat... etc... and spread love outwards. May people smile more. Spread positivity, not negativity or bitterness. And maybe then we CAN create a better world.

All the best wishes for you and yours for the holiday season!! :)
