but i think i realized why people always wanna smoke in a circle,
because if you think about it, you could never have a perfect circle(e.x. 8 people= octagon; 4 people= square)

so the only way you could have a perfect circle, would be to have infanent people, therefore the more people smoking weed, the closer it is to a circle
because the more people that toke, the better this world is

The only time my friends and I ever smoke in a circle is when we are all outside of the house. Otherwise, no-one I know has furniture set up in their place that looks remotely like a circle. More like a curved line or a L shape.

Good thought though.

I'm perfectly sober, against my will mind you, but I get what you are saying. Usually the circle forms so that there's no need to get up to pass the (insert medium of smoking here). i like the idea though, profound.

 

Im stoned as well but Id have to disagree. Your right w/ the infinite points, but if the motion of each persons hand is at the right angle than the bowl will be passed from person to person in a perfect circle in a way that forms a perfect circle. And with circles everyone gets a fair amount and there are no long stretches (sp? ahahah). At jam on hte river we all had to pass the bowl in lines on a ledge or in one of those back corneers and it was no good

Basically you're identifying the stoner goal/dream of common understanding and peace, joined together by the only shape that's truly infinite and yet equal at the same time. Isn't that what weed is all about? So catch me if i'm wrong, but the circle is probably the best shape in any circumstance, it follows a pattern that truly defines what it is to exist, for infinity to exist, for infinite possibilities, for hope.

It's possible, but it misses the point entirely that what makes a circle truly infinite AND kickass, is the fact that it joins back into itself, theres no beginning, theres no end. its fabulous

 

In that case we all ought to be smoking in mobius strips. Or perhaps shperes since I believe that they are the most basic shape or something like that? It has something to do with why bubles always make circles when you blow them

 

People form circles naturally... it is the most efficient form of energy.
