this might be stupid..

but does anyone ever think that animals are equal to humans? people think i'm seriously crazy when i tell them this, but we wouldn't be put in the same category if we weren't equal. we're all animals. everyone tells me that since we talk, we're smarter. animals talk in sounds, and use more body language. just because they don't use words doesn't mean they're inferior. also, everyone strives for equality, but what about animal/human equality? why is there so much stress on racial equality but none on animals? we're all capable of the same things practically, we just use our intelligence in different ways. we've evolved into different species to match our needs, that doesn't make any species stupid or inferior. part of the reason people are so cruel to animals is because they think they don't have minds and can't feel any emotion. it just makes me mad. or maybe i'm just weird.

all i'm trying to say is: why are we considered so superior?

that whole thing made me sound really stupid and it made no sense. oh well.

Humans communicate in sounds as well. we just manipulate our sounds into what we understand as words. we also use body lanuguage to communicate. how many times does someone just need to look at you the wrong (or right) way for you to understand what they are trying to get across? communication is communication......period. and as for intelligence...the intelligence of animals is grossly underated. i know my dog is smarter than my two year old nephew...alot smarter. pigs are said to be more intelligent than three year olds. ....all that "we are superior" bullshit is just lame ass excuses for people to justify exploiting animals. are animals are equals? yes they are. or more precisely, we are THEIR equals. my cat has things that are superior to myself.....i cant see near as well as he can. im not nearly as agile or as quick. i cant hear or smell half as well as my dogs.......so in many ways animals are superior to us. every living being has just what they need to survive in this world.....including us.

a book you might love is called A Pig Who Sang to the Moon by Jefferey Mousaieff Masson. It talks about this subject and goes into vegetarianism and animal rights....very well written.

I believe animals are superior by far. They live in balance and do not destroy the planet. They don't kill more than is necessary. They communicate without words. I'm just going to stop because I could go on forever. Yes humans are animals. In fact we're often considered better. But with all that we do I wonder why we are considered worthy of them at all.

We're also real smart, nome sayin'? Animals have been here for 6,000 years and they are yet to build any kind of machine or make any advances. An animal from 3,000 b.c. lived the same way one from now lives. And animals don't have emotions and they do things by instincts not reason.

and animals dont need us to take care of them. if things were the way they were meant to be in nature, animals would be doing fine on their own. since it was humans that have interfered so much in their live and the natural way, some animals are now in a position where they must be taken care of by humans. we did that.....not them.

The earth isn't in ruins, it's as good as it ever was. If it wasn't for people the world would just be a wastland like all bunch of woods and stuff. Go to Los Angeles, Rome, or Paris and see the magnificance. People built that there.

 

oh yes, pollutin, loss of rainforest, forest cut down to build parking lots and shopping malls, species of plants and animals going extinct.........oh yes, this earth is just getting better and better all the time!

 

Rainforests ain't no good for nuttin'. There was an episode of Southpark about; best episode ever. And forests are boring; no action at all. The city is where it's at, nome sayin'. And we don't need all those useless species that I'll never use anyway. When I look at a woods, I see trees and quietness, but when I look at a city, I see where stuff's going down, nome sayin? stuff's happening all the time. And polution don't hurt me none.
