rented the movie once in 92 a few weeks after the Freddie Mercury tribute show where I first saw Spinal Tap and thought their over the topness was hilarious. I used to work as road crew, and I went to see this in the cinema with a couple of members of the band and the sound engineer. It was weird because there were many times when we laughed out loud and none of the civilians in the cinema did. And then there were the obvious gags that they all found funny and we didnt. It is a truly brilliant film.
