Groundscore Enterprises goes "real life" this weekend at the Boulder Coffee Arts & Music Festival in the South Wedge in Rochester!

I'm so excited, running down the checklist (bags, calculator, sales book, tags...) I'll probably take a ton of pictures so I'll post the best ones. For me thise represents the first tangible results of the leap from unemployed to self-employed. No one thought I could do it, except for my mother (RIP), who had a dream of doing something similar at the Avon Flea Market herself. (Thanks, Mom!)

    Peace & love

Thanks. I got some pics, I'll upload them when I can.

I expected to lose money today. But I made almost all of the vendor fee for both days in retail & tarot readings, in spite of rain & a poor turnout, so I did better than I expected. I talked to some people with the South East Area Coalition about the small business development center, and I have some numbers to call for financial counselling so that I can look into grants. I'm thinking of directing this vending thing towards a storefront in the South Wedge, an up-and-coming neighborhood in Rochester, maybe a hemp shop/alternative bookstore.

    I am completely exhausted.

edited to add: maybe I'm not "making money" yet in terms of overall profit, but I started the day with $5 in my cashbox. I now have $30 in my cashbox, after expenses like lunch & dinner. That's 2 days of vending at the flea market! I'd planned on going to the Highland Bowl fest (for the music, not to vend) next week, but that's really something to think about. I may actually still have the time to do both, since the flea market's in the morning.

I feel like a fish who has just been thrown into water for the first time.

I've done guerilla vending before, but for some of the festivals I'm actually considering vending at next year (the vegetarian festival in Syracuse, for example) I don't want to risk getting chucked out. Boulder was too small for walking vending, I did try.
