I see now why I joined last year and never came back. I had forgotten about this Web site and tried re-joining yesterday when I found I was already a member. People seem to be allowed to say anything they like here (like the guy who likes to "freak people out" with his "dick" as he called it. Doesn't he know the word "penis". Only an exhibitionist likes to "freak people out" with their nude body. That brings me to the use of inappropriate or offensive language. Why can't the people here use the proper words for body parts instead of "dick" or "cock"? I'm not sure I will be staying here.
like this....yesterday my female friend asked me to display my scrotum for her...i said i would if she showed me here mammary glands....?
Methinks The O.P. Put On His "Cranky Pants" This Morning... I Hope Your Day Gets Better... Cheers Glen.
yea um the internet is all about free speech. Hip forums is ESPECIALLY about free speech, not being censored. Including any term used to describe genitals. Thats why george carlin's act is titled "7 words you can't say on television." This is the internet.
The words dick and cock, etc. are, in our generation, perfectly acceptable and proper words describing the male sex organ.
exactly...although dick and cock have been around a very long time. Lenny Bruce got arrested for using some of them at clubs. Thats why his career failed and ultimatly killed himself. This isn't the 1960's though, too bad cause he would have killed had he come along 40 years later. Anyways this isnt the 60's. Dick, cock, pussy, ****. These are all apart of todays lexicon and they are only going to get more acceptable as time goes on. Lets all try to be subjective open minded people. When we do, art will flourish and the world will be a very funny, beautiful place full of good music, good art, and happy healthy people.
I like the word cock. You know how some words you just like the sound of more than others? I think people can call body parts whatever they want - this site isn't just for discussing nudism, but it IS a free speech forum.
Free speech means that you can say anything that pops in your head and not go to jail. But love means that you often choose your words with other people's feelings in mind. Righteous indignation means that you sometimes use strong language because people don't share your sense of urgency without it. Forgiveness means that sometimes you give don't someone what they deserve, but what they need. We may never agree on what is a vulgar word, nor agree on what topics are not fit for a church meeting, the television air waves or the ears of our kids. For example, I hate gore in horror movies and violence in the media. As long as I have a way to opt out, I prefer to do the choosing rather than acquiesce to a government deciding what is good for me. Some people say that no one should witness violence on television and since the public won't stop watching it and film makers continue to create it, that it is up to government to shut down violent shows. But would that open a door to good stuff being censored too?
Jon-Marc is a Christian who is an active contributor to a number of naturist Christian forums and groups, and I have had some correspondence with him. He also took part in a TV doco by Channel 4 in the UK called "God's Nudists" about his virtual 24/7 nude living. Whilst I am personally not offended by words like "****", "pussy", "dick", "cock", "fuck" etc. naturism is a predominantly family orientated lifestyle for many people in America, UK and Europe and they are agreed that such words are not appropriate to describe the body which they see as 'beautiful' and 'wonderfully made'. As to violence on TV, I think it's unnecessary as entertainment, but when used to document what's going on in places like the Middle East, some parts of Ireland and Africa then I think it's got it's place there to educate our kids as to how the other half live. I believe we must never pick the thorns from a child's roses. They need to be taught that life and the world is not all about fairies, lollipops and roses. Life is hard and tough at the worst of times, and those are the times when people grow up the most.
Dario is an Aussie and having travelled there and spending a little over three weeks all over the east coast, I found that many Australians of all ages, think nothing of using those words and, they are not meant to be super vulgar either. They are meant to enforce a point and not offend, or they are used in humor and not necessarily vulgar humor. Words have never bothered me much and yes, I use many of them too, but not on a regular basis, I might add! It is a penis, but its also a cock. And both are the same. -D
This is a free speech website, not a nudist site per say. You can talk about nudism is the appropriate area, but you have to accept anything that goes here. take the stick out of your cock.
Jon Marc seems to take offense at words that others use with no offense intended. That is unfortunate, but he is within his rights to proclaim an unpopular even a wrong opinion. It is also his right to leave when he, for whatever reason cannot handle words that offend him. I am aware that our forum policy prohibits one member flaming another, but is it still okay to flame the entire ethnic group that the member belongs to? I don't intend to, just trying to learn more about free speech. I get the impression that free speech doesn't mean that I am obliged to insult other people, just that I can if I want to? (Of course some people take offense just because my values and ideas are different). You would be surprised at the number of people that hate nudists and not only hate us, but won't let us be nude in our own houses, won't let us be nude on the beach. In Arkansas it is even against the law to advocate the principles of nudism. (I thought that America was the land of the free until I read the fine print).
