I don't know what's up. I've never experienced heartburn for more than a few minutes. And that's rare.

I ate three hot dogs the other day all with ketchup on them. Afterwards I noticed it gave me really bad heartburn. The next day I could still feel it but it had calmed down a little. That night I ate a Freebirds burrito and it seemed to come back with all the spiciness. It started all on Monday and it's still here! I mean it really really hurts. Last night wasn't the first night I've moaned in pain. It's unbelievable how powerful it is. It makes me feel like I need to throw up and I only have short periods of relief until it reminds me of itself.

I've gotten an acid reducer but that seems to only subside it for 12 hours or so. I read online you should stop smoking if you're experiencing heartburn. I've been vaping for the past three weeks. I don't know if that may have aggitated it even worse because the vapor is really tough on the throat. I don't want to stop but I'm afraid I should.

    Help/experience/sympathy? :(

I feel your pain. Trust me. Whenever I have heartburn, which is almost daily, milk helps a little bit. So does peanut butter. I've heard a few sips of pickle juice is good for heartburn, also. All of these are just for immediate relief though and don't last long. Aside from that, you may just have to change your diet or keep taking the acid reducer every 12 hours or so. Most days, if I could get rid of heartburn for ~12 hours, I'd be a happy mofo.

    You're at a crossroads.

You can either change your diet, becoming more healthy and start feeling better without heartburn.

Or you can learn to live with it.

Lol, I was chugging milk last night because it helped at first. But then it didn't do anything.

Well, it's just weird that this is my first experience.

:( I hope this is a one time struggle.

I have heartburn so bad sometimes that it's hard for me not to drop to my knees, because it hurts so bad.

Strangely enough, I find holding my breath for 10-20 seconds makes it go away for a little while. lol

Heartburn would be terrible during any trip. Oddly enough, I don't ever remember having heartburn during a trip.

I just downed some pickle juice :p

I really haven't eaten anything really meaty/acidic in the past few days. I don't get why it's lasting for so long.

The purple pill is the best.
I take prescription prevacid-Best working drug I have ever taken.

Of course that is for chronic heartburn, which I pray you don't have.

For temp relief, I find that 1 tspn baking soda well mixed in 8oz water, guzzle it, you'll get some great burps and hopefully rid of the hearburn.

    Good Luck

Yeah that works too, especially if you warm it up a little bit.

Unfortunately this does not help. Maybe for 5 seconds.

Thanks for the suggestions/links. I have been been googling like crazy. I'm going to get some apple cider vinegar soon.

No, but I recently decided to take some antibiotics because I may have an infection. I finished the last of it last night.

Antibiotics can definitely cause heartburn, which is one of the reasons they say to take them with food.
