I saw this film at the weekend and it was really depressing. Excellent...but depressing. Anyone else seen it? What did you think?
I downloaded the movie on my computer some time ago, and I watched it. I don't know if I'd describe it as excellent, but I thought it was good. And the end was a big surprise.
Well if you consider that it was written by one of the 14 year old stars of the film...then it's pretty fucking good
I can't really watch it right now because I haven't seen the first twelves... Heh heh heh - I'm so "unfunny" that I could be hired to do Saturday Night Live... Anyway, the reason I was posting is because I was wonderin' too what this flick was about???
It's about a girl who tries to be "popular" and the consequences of trying to fit in with the wrong people...it's really depressing though...be warned
I want to see it, but it's still in the New Release section of my video store. To hell with them, I don't want to pay 3 dollars. I'll wait until it's "old" and only pay 1. (It looks interesting though)
I saw it. it was a pretty good movie. A lot of people always talk about how inaccurate it is, but when I was 13, I saw a lot of things in my peers that was dealt with in the film.
I didn't see that movie, but I know it's a rip-off of the French movie Mauvaises Frequentations - good movie but pretty depressing as well... I think that the French one is more... shocking in some ways, though.
i have found the movie to be rather interesting and very surreal to the lives of young teens in america. it's the cold hard truth and it's crazy that the movie is parallel to what people go through yet im sure many older people would deny it. i love this movie and i have seen it a few times already. to think that the co-star, nikki reed actually co-wrote this based on her life is insane..
i liked it alot. it portrayed the aspect coming from the teen and the aspect from the friends and parents. overall it was very good.
It was interesting, but I didn't think it was that good. It could have been much better. But Evan Rachel Wood or Rachel Evan Wood or whatever did the part really well. And she really did look 13 too, so I suppose that's a plus.
I want to see this movie SO bad. I heard it was really depressing, but also really good. I must rent it.
It is a really good movie. I didn't think it was depressing especially after seeing requiem for a dream, but it did have some powerful moments.
I thought it was good. I actully went through a semi similar situation when I was younger. It reminded me of those times so I found that depressing but overall I really liked it.
