Hi I'm Lacey Raine, Portland Oregon. I'm thinking of traveling again and never train hopped before but girl I saw online inspired me. Anyone in the area wanna travel with me soon or just hang out? My whole life is alternative. I love odd people. I sometimes have encounters with norms in the world and can't relate to their unkindness. They are like corporate American Psycho wannabes. Love is my religion ..
I knew a girl, a daughter of a friend who rode the rails . She was young-maybe 18. She took a very protective dog with her and was glad that she did. I assume you know what can happen to females of ANY age when happening across the wrong man. Venture forth and enjoy--BUT--don't forget how the world can be.
Sounds fun lets go. Im odd for sure and corporate American Psycho wannabes nice description lol what makes them tick I will never get it.
I should go do this airport leaves me so tired the next day why not get where I am going fully rested instead probably sleep so well between exploring the train and meals I slept so well on this days long fishing trip engines sound and waves was like meditation going half asleep.
I don't think she is talking about buying tickets and legally riding in comfort on a train. The term "train hopping" is illegally boarding/riding/disembarking and boarding another freight train to reach a destination. The problems, beyond the legality, the danger of falling and being crushed by a moving train, or simply being left cold and alone in bad weather, is the actual train culture. Hobos, or as they refer tot themselves these days, Free Men, are very protective of the Trains, Train lines, and Train Cars they consider their domains. Since they are not bound by most societal rules, they have no problem physically enforcing their claims of said rolling stock. You could find yourself badly injured or dead on the side of a train crossings.
