Off the bridge I live by Runcorn bridge and we get four or five jumpers every year !! there are fire engines ambulances and police with spotlights searching the west bank , So I believe some other poor soul has jumped tonight Always makes me sad
Oh, no.....! There is a bridge near here, too, and quite a few have jumped during the last year, here, too...
That is sad. It is unfortunate that some feel that is their only option and that they are in such emotional pain.
Yeah, suicide is just too final...but it may be a mental thing as well as a life that is just too hopeless for some to want to handle or change....
I feel for the ones left behind as I lost someone young in a similar way! but you cant change what has been done
sorry for troubles mal losing someone in that way.R.I.P.they might get the person thats just jumped out safely with a bit a luck.the last person that jumped off a bridge here was bout two weeks ago.a cab driver. R.I.P. ya, it's always very sad, especially for the people left behind.but ya no you can't change whats done.there are some things people never really get over, but just keep going and learn ta live with them.

It appears to be a hoax (UK) A full-scale search was launched after police after an emergency call claiming someone was in the water by the Runcorm and Widnes bridge. The RNLI hovercraft in New Brighton, the RAF helicopter from Anglesey and three coastguard teams all scoured the Mersey after receiving a call from a member of the public saying someone had jumped in the water. Emergency services spent an hour combing the area and using a thermal imaging cameras but nothing was found. Police said they were not treating the call as a “hoax” as it could have been made in good faith. Inspector Chris Davies said they had carried out a thorough search and were “satisfied” that they had done all they could do and no-one was in the water. Hotwater
wow that image is kinda huge and I'm thinking I should change it, but it looks really cool that big....
The Bloor Street Viaduct in Toronto has had so many people jump off of it, they had to create a barrier, which they call the "Luminous Veil."
If you wanna kill yourself, jay walk. And make sure a cop sees ya. Or get pulled over for not using a turn signal. Or get pulled over for being white in a black community. Or get pulled over for being black in a white community. Or just get pulled over, period. Cops love to murder innocent & unarmed people here in Amerika. Unless you're a woman, then they'll likely rape you first. Then kill you.
suicide is the problem with building your world around personal relationships. there's just so much more to the real universe, and most of it a hell of a lot more interesting.
I lived in Ithaca NY for 20 years and there were people who committed suicide by jumping into the gorges. Several were students at Cornell. There were also some hoaxes. This article includes some history and indicates that in 2010 three students killed themselves by jumping. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rob-fishman/the-gorges-of-cornell-uni_b_498656.html In the 70's my dentist killed himself (pretty sure he used a gun). Dentists have a higher suicide rate than other occupations.
