Things you shouldn't do.

    My room mate is interesting. in order to drop weight he is Doing 2 hours of cardio daily, not eating, not sleeping, consuming lots of alcohol, and using speed. oh on the rare occasion when he does eat, It's always sausages with lots a BBQ sauce.

    now eating meat, hey I have no big problem there, but there is more to food.
    2 hours of Cardio, in it's self is not bad. I've never seen him work out though, buthe is perpetualy "back from the gym"

    So anyways yon room mte is not loosing weight. Why? Well odds are his system is too busy trying to stay alive to worry about metabolizing fats, rather it's storing up for when he breaks down and gets a chance ot recover. Alcohol, sausages and BBQ sauce are high in energy. I'm not sure what his intke is but probably higher in energy and lower in nutrients than advisable. And sleep, since he's using speed, to up his heart rate, blood preasure and metabolism (idealy) he occasionaly crashes on week ends.

    I'm glad I'll be out of here next week, because I don;t like the idea of finding someone dead.

    whew. what a way to live. what are his fitness goals (for whatever they'd be worth on that regimien)?
    glad you are getting into a heathier locale. He sounds like a former roomie of mine who lived in fish sticks, big macs and beer. oodles of calories but where's the real food?

    that's crazy. if he's using speed, and not sleeping.. what is he doing for... well.. the whole 24 hours? i can see doing all nighters every so often.. but not all the time. at the rate he's going, he'll probably have a heart attack, or get an ulcer by keeping that busy, eating totally the wrong foods, and taking speed regularly.
    how old is he?

    His fitness goals as I understand them are just to loose weight. Fair enouhg, but killingyourself is not a reliable means to do so. As for his age, 27. As for his health, yeah there have been a few times I've come home and he's been less than coherent, and I honstly don't know, nor want to know what he edoes with his excessive waking hours.

    eat a two pound bag of pistachios in one day. holy fuck do I ever have the shits.

    Think of just how much weight you will loose when your creamated (spelled wrong) but I doubt you will look very good in that old swim suite!

    Hope he gets the message, loose some pounds but it is better to be able to enjoy it in the end, not "ashes to ahses and dust to dust"
