Ok so what are some things or items that you absolutely can not go camping without? Also things that you always forget but are really important. I'm so excited about my camping trip on 4/20 I haven't been camping in 5 years.
If it's legal to do so don't forget a good knife. At least a good knife. Ideally bring both a hatchet and a knife. For the knife you might want to get something in 1095 Spring Steel. Something from Ontario Spec would fit. I had one for years. You could take a look at K-bar to while you're at it. Layer yourself to the elements and don't forget water purification if you're really going to go out there. Brings several ways to start a fire. If something happens and you get lost, fire is your friend and may just be what saves you. there is a whole lot more but it's a start.
yeah I'm gonna get like two packs of bic lighters cuz we are gonna be fucked up out in the middle of the woods...I can see us dropping a lighter and not being able to find it lol
flashlight, bedroll, clothes to dress in layers, string or clothesline might be nice, what-cha gonna cook in? Pack stuff that can be used for more than one thing and lightweight if yer backpacking. Something to start fire, yes. Maybe some kind of dry tinder in a small waterproof bag in case firewood is wet...
well I have a little grill that we r going to use and were not really backpacking. Right now they said in Ocala there is a ban on campfires outside of the campgrounds, which would be us because were are doing "primitive" camping. So now I have to buy a fire pit, but I'm hoping that by April we will get some rain.
Yeah, that'd be hard to explain to your smokin' buddies. "Yo, bro, got the bud?" "uh...No.." "where is it?" "My pet bear smoked it all... :[" ".......?"
