(i know those last two haven't happened yet, but those are what we are staring in the ugly pimpled faces of, as result of what we are doing to nature through our short sighted ignorance and indifference to doing so. our attachment to familiar ways of doing things, particularly transportation and energy. oh yes, we're at least playing at doing something about energy, but we still have our heads stuck somewhere when it comes to transportation policy. again both motivated by greed, which is a form of aggressiveness and motivated by ego)

the abuse of religious beliefs, as excuses for most of these things.

people killing each other for the sake of ideology. or doing so the long way, by destroying the environments their means of life depend on.

i've probably still missed a few, but i sort of think those are the big ones. oh yes, actually there are several more i haven't yet mentioned.

the misapplication of the intention of building codes as instead a kind of protectionism for building trades contractors.

the closing of international borders to the free movement of unarmed civilians.

the lie that freedom comes from any nationalism, ideology, or people killing each for the sake of either, or for any other reason.

everyone who would not wish to do any of those things, having to live in a world that is the result of other people doing them.
