Things I need to know about tripping acid

So, a couple of things:

I am 18

I do have a great uncle who won't leave his house anymore, supposedly as a result of acid. I also have a number of relatives who have taken acid and not gone crazy, however

I may suffer from depression.

Keeping these things in mind, I'm probably going to try it no matter what you say. I just want to know if there are any permanent side effects. Is there a hangover-esque feeling after tripping? How long will the trip last? Is it similar to shrooms? There's no truth behind the "If you've taken acid and you crack your back the trip comes back" right? Will one hit give me flashbacks? I only intend to take it once, to see what it's like. Any advice?

 

Hello first of all if you are feeling depressive NEVER take acid, do it when the you are feeling right when the time is right but since you are gonna do it anyway (are you feeling depressive or relating to your family issues). Flashbacks may occur after the trip specially when smoking weed sometimes you can feel the acid or any point in your life you can have a flashback but i find them enjoyable just hope it doesnt come when you driving lol. There are no permanent side effects However, you will start viewing the world with the perspective of alice it can change your view on stuff depending on your mood and the trip these changes can be good or bad you need to pick them after the trip. You can feel slightly dissolved like the next day or two but it will fade away. It's very different from shrooms(shrooms i find more spiritual experience) but in my point of view they are in the same family of psychedelic so if you done shrooms and everything was alright you will be fine set and setting is everything, being with people you trust and an open mind for the experience. crack your back thing is bulshit... A good acid trip can give you flashbacks doesnt depend on the dose one hit can be REALLY good or meh depends on what you get. Don't be so picky about the experience go with the flow there is no need to rush also... Trip can last 8to 12 hours if you increase your dosage the duration will be more. Just make sure you dont have anything important to do next day or two. If you have like exam bla bla dont take it you dont want to worry about those stuff when you are tripping not cool. "Flashbacks" while real are not what you will see in the meida. When I see acid portrayed there they always make it seem like all of the sudden you are seeing pink elephants or something like that. I have taken many acid trips and flashbacks to me are more like seeing the letters on a TV screen wiggle. And even then that really only happens within a week or two of a trip, after that I barely notice anything.

Your uncle may have had a preexisting medical condition. For those sort of people acid can aggravate their condition but most people who take acid will not end up like that. The story about cracking your back is a myth. Acid is broken down 100% by your body very quickly after taking it. But the chain reaction it sets off in your brain lasts many hours. The chemical is very similar to serotonin, a chemical your body creates anyway so exposure to it is safe. It is also why the drug works, the brain is already set to deal with these sort of things.

Have you taken shroms before? I noticed you mentioned them. If you have I think you can handle acid, only difference is it will be much longer. Shrooms are 4-6 hours, acid is more like 10-12.

 

Yeah, I've taken shrooms twice. The first time I had a pretty fun trip. I wouldn't call it as crazy as the stories I've heard, but things moved in slow motion, I had some basic visuals, and I walked in circles for what felt like four hours, believing I was "Stuck in a loop". The second time they hardly worked at all. For some reason, acid has a much worse reputation than shrooms. I wonder why?

 

Mushrooms can be hit or miss in my experience. You need to find someone who grows them properly.

 

If you're sure it's real LSD, and not nbome or dox, one hit is a waste, and you owe yourself at least two. One will be underwhelming, and actually, working up slowly with doses is much more mentally dangerous, IMO. It's certainly less theraputically useful, and not just according to me. It makes it so that you can fight the trip, which essentially amounts to lieing to your mind, about your mind, which on psychedelic drugs, will break your mind.

"flashbacks" are unlikely in anyone, in the sense that you're thinking. Things will be different after taking acid, if you take enough to have been not wasting your time and money. If you're not ready for things to be different, don't take acid.

Acid has nothing to do with your spine, and cracking your back will not make you trip, and it can not be tested for via spinal tap.

As for my tripping advice: "fight the ocean and you will drown".

 

Would it help to smoke a bowl? I'd love to try it, but I'm not spending $20-30 for my first trip when I don't even know if I'll like it.

No, it would not help, it would cloud an experience for which you should not be stoned the first time.

If you can't spend the money for an acid trip, don't trip on acid. Maybe you should look into growing your own mushrooms, or some other psychedelic.

Besides, (OP) why are you here asking for advice, when you admit you won't take the advice? Maybe my advice to you should be to take my advice and fuck yourself with it, for all the good any serious advice would do.... ehh?

Also, if you don't get a print that can be verified with the internet to be quality LSD, be weary of nbome. If it can't be verified, maybe one hit would be best. But it would be far prefferable to take multiple hits of known LSD.
