Damn Lawmakers They need to get their facts straight before they whip a bill out of their ass to outlaw something that they think is wrong, if only in their ignorant furor. They have to realize, Salvia isn't a party drug. The biggest users of it are older. Weed is more economic. It lasts longer, it's more pleasant, yada yada yada. It's a lot easier to walk down to the drug dealer's house and drop $80 on some good weed than it is to spend $50 to get some Salvia mail-ordered to your house. Salvia can't be the next marijuana. Most people who use drugs and kill themselves don't do it because of the drugs. Most of the time they feel miserable, use drugs to escape, and can't handle it when they come back to the real world. The sucidality leads to the drugs, not the other way around. The only way I can see that is if somebody had a nightmarish, soul-scarring bad trip on acid, PCP, Datura or something. But seriously, this is ridiculous. Here's an idea, government morons. Legalize weed. Then you can use that money to fight the stuff that is dangerous to people. Coke (the violence), Heroin (the horrid addiction, yada yada) Crack and Meth (all of the above, horrid physical effects, etc.) and leave Salvia alone. Sheesh... Sad thing is, all politicians are that dumb in some area of what they believe...
You see, I got your idea. But you have to realize that leaving such a powerfull mind expanding tool (I'll rather call it that way, it doesn't deserve to be marked as a 'drug') is dangerous for mass control of people. A group of stupid sheep that don't realize anything is ofc way easier to manage, than a group of intelligent humans, that know, that they have right for their own freedom. This was the same thing with LSD, DMT, etc... The officials just fear for lost of control, ie. their power. If a whole nation suddenly became enlightened, I'm pretty sure, that goverment as we know it today would have a serious problem to cope with. So, this isn't about some kids showing how cool they are, that they smoked "random number"x Salvia on YouTube, that's only to help those that want to illegalize it faster, but if you think about it, it's coming whenever we want it or not, at least in the present world... Legalizing marihuana would be a good step for economy and also ensuring safety (so you wouldn't have to hide smoking on unsafe places). But still, there's too much people that don't understand logical facts and their life view is simply blocked by all the lies, that they didn't filter out, like some of us more bright ones.
Personally, I didnt like sally. Left me feeling dirty. Not something id like to do again. Dont sound surprised that big brother wants it scheduled. It was bound to happen.
Honestly i could care less if it was scheduled. Ive done it multiple times and every time I've felt like i was dying or i had crippled my brain. If all the lawmakers decide to focus on scheduling salvia then that'll buy everyone involved with other legals a little more time.
Pennyroyal, I'm 100% with you on this... but like a said in a different topic, its most likely gonna get scheduled because of all the bad press its getting and because all the government officials are 100% against any drug that isnt prescription, because they can make a buck off of it.
You guys have got to realize the only way to fight scheduling is to go down to your state capitol when it is up for debate and make your voice heard. I did it in March of 2007 against Charles Anderson when he tried to have it scheduled in Texas. Here I'll paste the story from my myspace page: VICTORY For all of you who didin't know. Charles Anderson (republican pig) wanted to put salvia on schedule 2 and a possible ban on Salvia in March with SB 2347. Well I was suprised to see that noone cared to show up at our capitol to debate the subject or put up any opposition. Your SalviaMan had to face the enemy alone....the sole voice of opposition. For 2 days we put up an effort, displaying the facts and dispelling the misconceptions on salvia divinorum. Our main argument was that salvia is a main component for Mexican and Hispanic traditions, to ban or schedule it would be to ban our livliehood, our traditions, our right! I am glad to say we have scored a victory in the war for now, the only resolution is that salvia cannot be sold or ditributed to anyone under 18 years of age. Which we have been doing all along. Guys we need your help, we can't do it all for you. The issue will come up again, in about a year, wonder who will stand with me then. If 1 person with the facts can do this, then there is power in numbers brothers and sisters. I had even volunteered to go and help fight salvia legality in other states but noone really wants to do the work. So I'll continue my fight here in Texas and keep my shop and my products available. Hope this riles some of you. One Love, Ki
Too rite ppl have been farmed 4 years t b model little citizens and not t buck the line and follow there commands. ya can moan all ya like but unless ya get off ya bums n do something the goverment will ride all over ya as per normal and get there way. Even just showing ya face or standin up n being counted is a step in the rite direction.
Can you tell me what states they are salmon? Texas only states the it cannot be sold to anyone under 18. So let me know what you know. Ki
