Im not a pot smoker by any means, nor an advocate of pot use, but when the kansas highway patrol uses their authority to bust kids going to the wakarusa fest and then flaunt it, it really pisses me off. this was taken from last year......... there were so many drug busts and arrests...... and they were damn proud of it. hello???? its a hippy festival. its like finding geritol in an old folks home... please.... anyways, I wonder how this weekend will pan out and how many arrests they are going to make...
Meanwhile, they want to make 20-30 million people here illegally, legal. This includes immigrant drug offenders, gang members, child molesters, etc... They openly admit this. Yet, if you are an American citizen busted with a little bit of pot, you're treated like an absolute criminal. That cop looks like a typical jackboot brownshirt that loves exercising his authority over others.
Just enough to fill Leavenworth (on federal charges of trafficking, distribution, and sales of a banned substance) Hotwater
children in jackboots are always disturbing, when they are given the authority of a government. i don't see a problem with banning the sale, mass production, or wholesale importation of anything a 2/3 majority of the general population might choose to oppose, were this the case of their doing so, but banning the mere possession of anything, only serves to create opportunities for political bias motivated harrassment. this is a moral issue, and one i feel the law has been placed on the wrong side of morality. as it is, whenever morality is sought to be legislated. politics has no bussiness meddling in belief, nor closing borders either. i'm not in favor of destroying anything just to be doing so, but i also don't see hierarchy as a natural, automatic, nor intrisic good. and not just haerarchy in government either. that nonsense that hierarchy in bussiness is going to save anyone from hierarchy in political proccess is just as harmful and absurd. economics, hiding behind the skirts of religeon, using politics to bludgen everyone into getting its way, is where this sort of thing this thread is about the faults of, is comming from. of course it's disturbing, but i also wonder how many are giving any thought at all as to how the incentive for it is being created and how to avoid doing so. =^^= .../\...
Law enforcement will have the effect of shaking out power trippers in building its ranks. Yes that particular trooper appears to merit getting beaten to a merry little pulp.. let's not forget the life lesson to the event-goers... about using common sense knowing that young cops, eager to score a few career notches will be looking to make a few easy busts. There's something to be said for not putting yourself in that position.
i'd swear those look like jars of pickled something, maybe spinach, or grape leaves to make dolmas with, or the early stages of kimchi though, with a package of dentene sitting on top of one of them. if i saw only that picture without the explanatory text i'd be truely wondering "wtf?". i aggree with the need for everyone to use a little better common sense. hell, even the politcal and environmental problems stem from too little use of it. =^^= .../\...
